Organic Chemistry

Very good condition as my book had no torn pages, ink splots, misprints or any other issues, well so far haha, and when comparing it to the price of this book new or from another site it was overall a nice deal. Although I am aware the newest addition is out, this book is pretty much the same, and could definitely be used interchangeably, or if yoh want to aquire a better Organic Chemsitru knowledge or need it for your office this would be more than insightful.

Very well written textbook for the class. My professor is a bit hard to understand and pay attention to so I read the book constantly to know what will be discussed and what is being talked about in class. Read the section I was supposed to for my midterm and I feel I did great just from the knowledge the book gives. It can be a bit simple though on some concepts that would probably need more clarification.

Very good and useful

Excellently written and lots of pictures to help you visualize 3-D structures. My only issue is that there are MULTIPLE editions and, if you purchase a study guide/answer solutions manual as a companion, you MUST get the EXACT edition to "match" it. Unfortunately, I bought the "hybrid" version, which does NOT have end-of-chapter questions in it. I bought 2 study guides/manuals, but both were 1 edition "older" (and "newer") than the text itself, so they were useless. The questions/summaries are very close, but changed just enough to force you to purchase both in the same year/edition, which is frustrating; the Solutions Manual doesn't have the QUESTIONS in it either, so you can't even "match up" the different books, even though 90% of it is the exact same information. Undoubtedly the publisher has done that to facilitate greater sales for the authors, but it's frustrating to a student who needs to save any money they can on textbooks!!! Otherwise, the text is one of the best Org Chem books out there!

My book was in the loose-leaf form. I received it in a binder. Due to poor packaging the binder was open and 20% of the text book was not secured in the 3-ring. Therefore, some of the pages were sadly wrinkled. But that's ok, the product overall looks new to me :) I'm happy I bought the binder version and not the hardcover; it a giant book!

As far as an Organic Chemistry textbook can go, it is proving to be pretty useful. It is clear and makes sense. It came in good condition without any writing inside the textbook. I bought in order to use for a Organic Chemistry 2 class in the summer, so far it's serving it's purpose!

Community college biology courses were interesting. The textbook was fully detailed up to the point that I didn't want to put it down. Biology was tough, but became easier via this book.

This book was better than described. It was practically new, no highlighting or writing in the book. It arrived in plenty of time before school was to start.

this organic chemistry 8th edition textbook by john mcmurry is in good condition. Does not come with access code for OWL. no longer taking the course however so I need to return the book
