I originally bought those for the use in an exterior fixture. However due to the cold Cleveland weather and probably also the glass cover of the fixture, they didn't work at all there.We use them for the basement now where they work well. Our basement is warm, sometimes hot, which in high heat the sensor also seem to have issues. Motion detection speed is lagging maybe by half a second. However that's very comparable to other products. It's not as fast as a lutron switch, sensor combination, which is a commercial grade product.The light output is better then expected. The lights are pretty bright and perfect for a dark basement space.If you still have pull string lights in the basement this is a great way of making sure they turn off and that toy don't need to hit the light switch, when you store away Christmas decorations.

At first it did not seem to be detecting light or motion. It's as if it had to become used to its surroundings. Now it does exactly what they say it will do. No need to install a motion detector as this is built in. Just leave the switch on all the time and the light will take care of the rest. Too bad it's made in China like much of everything else these days. I would have spent more on the U.S made product. Let's hope that becomes more likely in the future

These are exactly what I needed. I got some for my basement and stairwell, so that I don't have to deal with light switches while my hands are full of groceries. Then I bought some more for the garage, so that the light comes on as soon as I step in from the basement, and I don't have to fumble for it. Then it goes off after I drive out of the garage.

It produces bright light when approached, but the range of the motion detector is limited at eight feet high. You'll need to place it much higher for it to activate at a distance.

I wanted to use these bulbs in the ceiling of the garage. I made sure I met all the requirements before I ordered them. I swapped out the bulb, & it simply does not work. And, yes, I did flip the switch after swapping the bulb. >:-{

Work good, sometimes I have to wave my hand in the garage to have it come on however in the closet they work perfect.

Very annoyed by the varied sensitivity during rains. May be better for indoor use vs outdoor use
