Update: Stopped producing a vacuum in January 2021 (1.5 years after buying with occasional use)Got this because we're going on a fishing trip and expect to come home with a bunch of things we will need to freeze. Took awhile to figure out but pretty easy to use after that! I used the bags they came with and made my own bag using a larger vacuum seal roll as well. To use the big rolls just press the seal button when it's in the machine and it will melt the edges together. Once started it runs pretty fast (or at least I think it does, I've never used a vacuum sealer before). I used it on homemade sausages to do a test run before the trip and had no issues.READ THE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLYThe first time I tried to use it I couldn't get it to work. The instructions said to hold the sides but you actually have to make sure you get the sides to lock in place. To do that you need to press pretty hard on both sides until you hear a click sound. Then the whole thing is locked in and will work.Seems to come with an attachment for bottles but I have no clue how that works. I guess you leave the attachment in the bottle?

I got this to help preserve my freezer food for longer. We bought a deep freeze and food was getting freezer burned quickly so we bought this to help prevent that. So far it is easy to use and came with 10 bags so we are set for a week or so of freezing things. I also heard you can use this to prep meat for soui vide so now I need to find one of those kitchen items.EDIT: I initially was happy but it died after just a couple weeks of use. It just stopped pulling any air out of the bag. I had to return it. Would go with another variety

I ordered this August 4, 2020 received it next day.Today, (12/23/2020) was only the 3rd time I tried to use it.Not only did it stop vacuuming, it started smoking.Now I'm stuck with a piece of crap I can't use or send back.

This is the cheapest vacuum machine I’ve ever seen. To start with the silver piece that sits on top of the machine was popping up as I took the machine out of the box. It will not stay on the machine and just curves up. As I was taking it out and saw that I immediately knew this was a very poorly made product.I bought 2 of these one as a Christmas gift. After just opening mine I am completely embarrassed that I gave this as a gift. Unfortunately when I received the machine I did not open it right away or I would have sent it back along with the one I purchased as a gift. The machine came with zero instructions so completely on you to figure out how to use it. The machine has very little power, and does not perform the way it should. It’s a complete disappointment!!!

The media could not be loaded.  Pros- Easy to use, right out of the box you just plug, put a vacuum bag on the clips, press down on both sides until you hear a click to lock it in, choose either option for moist or dry depending on what you put inside, then vacuum seal and it vacuums and stops automatically when it's sealed. Then press stop and push on the buttons on both sides to release the lock and you're good to go- comes with a few bags to start off, but looks to be compatible with standard vacuum sealing bags just looking at the size- the vacuum bags included have an easy tear on the side to openCons- only thing is I wish it came with more bags to start withOverall, great product, works perfectly. As you can see in the video, the seal is amazing. It's leakproof and can help prevent freezer burn, saving your food better than a ziploc bag can. I'm guessing this would work great at preventing mold too if you're putting food in the fridge, but I have yet to test that out.

I had a "food saver" years ago and paid well over $100. for it. I used it like crazy but while it sat in my cupboard for months on end after a move the outside of the saver got sticky and I threw it away. When I saw this one for $34.00 I was shocked and didn't expect it to be as good as the larger and more expensive unit but I was wrong..... it's great. Suctions for the vacuum is great & just the sealer for bags works as well as the higher priced units. I got a GREAT DEAL.

Item is not UL listed. The first delivered sealer was used and burnt up... obviously overheated and had some melted plastic and bad burnt electrical smell... There is nothing on the packaging that indicates where it's made and instructions English is not proper so obviously not made in the USA... Do not buy this product it should not even be sold by Amazon... Very disappointed!

I bought this piece of junk 5 months ago to use with a sous vide circulator. It worked not great but well enough for a few weeks, and then it completely quit suctioning. It will still seal create a very weak seal, but without a vacuum, that’s of little use. CAVEAT: THERE IS NO MANUFACTURER’S WARRANTY.
