Convenient
Needle nose gets lube on rails of my semi automatic pistols and other small places around the house that just need a small drop of lube. Good enough for the navy seals, good enough for me.

Great as a protectant, okay as a lubricant
This is very, very good at preventing corrosion. I have put this on many folding and fixed blades to protect them from the elements somewhat, and I've been very happy with how well it has protected even some of the more oxidation-sensitive tool steels. A side-effect of the application of this stuff is that it leaves a very faint rainbow sheen on the protected surface, and it chemically bonds in a way that you cannot wipe it off. It's very, very, very faint, but it's definitely there. As a lubricant, it leaves a little to be desired. It seems to be less effective than the regular tuf-glide in that regard, which in itself was only just on par with any other dries-to-a-waxy-solid lubricant. Also, as with any such lubricant, it is prone to settling and needs to be shaken well before usage. It will also build up unpleasantly on the applicator and cap if you don't wipe them off after use.Regardless, I believe there's a place for this in any gun or knife owner's toolbox. Corrosion is your enemy and this is your friend.

Excellent product!
Excellent product. Used on EDC in high heat, high humidity. No rust, and no residue on shirt.

I heard of this through RupRazor.
I heard of this through a straight razor forum. I’m trying it now to alleviate rusty high-carbon steel razors.

Protectant
I think this is more of a protectant than a lubricant. It is not as slick as an oil if "real" lubrication is needed on load bearing parts, an oil would be better, on lightly rubbing parts Tuf Glide would be enough. These Tuff Glide products are more of a surface protectant. There great quality is that the surface does not stay wet, the product evaporates & leaves a dry film. On a gun for instance, oil the inside parts and wipe down the outside with Tuf Glide.
