Works with AVH-P7500DVD
Before I had this, I could only listen to music on DVDs, but after buying this cable and plugging the IP-Bus end into the hide-away unit, I can listen to music from my phone. You should keep in mind that the cable is not too long, and that it connects to the hideaway unit. If your hideaway unit is in the trunk this cable will not be long enough. Mine is under the passenger seat so it fits well in my car, which isn't super spacious. The cable has worked perfectly so far.

Works Great! Note: Must Be Plugged In The WHOLE WAY
This chord does exactly what it says it will, plug it into the blue AUX port on the back of your Pioneer receiver (in my case pioneer mosfet eeq 50wx4) then plug the other end into the headphone jack of your ipod, mp3 player. Three Notes: 1.) to enable AUX you turn off your receiver by holding "source" then hold "function" button until your time settings are enabled, keep pushing "function" until you get to AUX which will be OFF, press the up arrow to turn it ON and push "Source" Now you can hit "Source"until AUX shows up as an option. Note 2.) Use the SLA setting under "Audio" button to turn the volume for AUX all the way up as it is typically a weak single from the ipod/mp3 and needs a little boost. Note 3.) initially I used my hand to push the plug in as tight as I could and got no response so after reading some more on the net, I realized that the cable must be pushed in very hard and all the way so I used a small hammer to tap it in tight and it now works perfect!

Changed rating! This is an outstanding product that works!
I originally noted that "the plugs fit, but the stereo would NOT play the music from a satellite receiver. Seemed like the solution to my problem, but it just won't work. I was attempting to play an XM satellite receiver through the stereo."I was WAY WRONG... the Pioneer stereo we have needed to have the Aux input turned on. It was a pain finding the correct procedure but I finally found it, turned on the Aux function and it still didn't work. I did extensive online searching and found one guy that noted to ensure the blue plug was fully inserted in the stereo. As a long shot, I decided to pull the dash out, check the back of the stereo and sure enough the plug was loose. As soon as I inserted the plug fully I clearly heard Jimmy Buffet on Radio Margaritaville. So, if you get this cord, make sure you push the blue plug in fully. I think I actually felt a "click".

It's a cable and it works
Bought this in order to use the auxiliary in feature on my pioneer head unit (don't remember the model; previous owner installed it and the car is now gone). Easy to install, then had to play with the menu to enable the feature. Overall, not too bad. Average quality construction and sound. Did the job for me, at least. I would buy this cable again if I had to and would recommend it to a friend.

FIND YOUR USER MANUAL
FIND THE USER MANUAL FOR YOUR HEAD UNIT!! There is a sequence of buttons to push to enable AUX input through the IP BUS. It works perfectly and as expected. Treat the cable with care, it may break inside. Feels kinda cheap.Mine only works if you keep the cable extremely bent in one direction right under the 3.5mm jack male input. Use an extender, just in case!

Great for the price; see update
Works on a Pioneer DEH-P4500MP. Plugs right into the aux jack in the back of the deck. I wish I had purchased this sooner!Edited 9/27/2014Reduced the product rating to 3 stars as the part gave out after a few months of use. It slowly had more and more problems until it flat out didn't work. I still give it 3 stars as it's a cheap fix for an older deck, it just has very poor build quality (you get what you pay for).

solution for your ipod / mp3 / phone into your pioneer deck! best bang for your buck / cheap alternative to CB-100 I or II box!!
i have a "older" high end pioneer deck that lack the ipod functionality.i looked aimlessly for how to connect an ipod or other external device to my deck, all solutions pointing to the stupid CB-100 I and II ipod boxes which are 1) discontinued and 2) hard to source with all the necessary wiring etc.i stumbled upon this glorious cable, and said "what the hell its only 8$."paid the 8$, cable arrived...plugged into the blue aux port in the back of my deck...enabled the aux input through my deck and now i have ipod / mp3 / telephone that can act as music sources when the inserted CD becomes stale.super happy with the product and it saved me a costly 200-300$ in sourcing out that CB-100 I or II box with out the hassle of wiring in additional components.Car = s2000deck = pioneer 800PRS
