Salt Water - Simple, effective(ish), and easy
I have a small 18' above-ground salt water pool, and although it came with test strips, they were USELESS. So I was told test strips for salt pools are not accurate, but after reading the reviews, I figured I would give it a try. I had other devices to test my water but I wanted something quick and easy to use to give me a "feel" of where my water readings were. These actually did rather well although there were a few readings off that could have been better but it did help me maintain the levels across the pool a bit easier. Simple dip for a couple seconds and wait a bit for the strips to turn. Match it up with the bottle and run from there. It beats chemicals and lots of tools but same time it doesn't exactly replace those items either for accuracy.Would I buy them again? Yes!

Somewhat accurate
The media could not be loaded. My water quality was HORRENDOUS, and I have two kids that wouldn't take time out of the pool to let me work on it. Not only that but they would invite their 4 friends to swim in it as well...not good. By the time they were done it looked like someone had took a crap in the pool. Yes, it was that disgusting! I went off on them and made them give me 2 days to get the water at a reasonable level.I shocked the pool, used various chemicals, and used these test strips to see how my work was progressing. I was, and still am baffled, that my chlorine levels barely fluctuate no matter what I do. I'm beginning to believe that this particular reading on these strips is faulty because my water looks almost, ALMOST perfect. I still have a slight cloud issue with the water which I can't say is because of the chlorine readings or if I just need to add some clarifier since 5 out of 7 readings are okay; all readings EXCEPT the chlorine and free chlorine are within tolerance. I'm also puzzled about when to read the strip: right after dipping it in the water, or waiting for a few seconds (up to a minute) to let them level out, because I have noticed a slight difference depending on how long I let the strips sit.I would say to use these strips as a general guideline to test your water chemical levels, but don't think that they're written in stone. Also, let the chemicals added mix a few hours, maybe even overnight, before adding additional chemicals to change the properties, then test again and see how much they changed. You can see the difference 24 hours made to my pool water in the longer video.I'm definitely no pool water expert, this is my first pool where I've had to use a pump and keep the water chemicals balanced, so it's been a trial and error, learning experience for me as well. Good luck and happy swimming!

Not so good -
One of the main issues I encountered is that the results obtained from the test strips do not match the liquid test. The accuracy of the readings is questionable, leading to uncertainty about the actual levels of hardness, chlorine, bromine, free chlorine, pH, cyanuric acid, and alkalinity in the water. This inconsistency makes it difficult to effectively maintain and balance the pool or spa water.Furthermore, the quality of the test strips is subpar, as they are falling apart easily. The strips are fragile and tend to break or tear when dipped into the water or handled. This not only affects the accuracy of the results but also adds inconvenience and frustration during the testing process.Considering the price of the product, it is simply not worth the investment. The affordability of having 100 test strips initially seems appealing, but when the accuracy and durability are compromised, it diminishes the overall value. I would have expected a higher level of quality and performance given the price point. While the instructions suggest that the testing process is quick and easy, my experience has been quite the opposite. The color chart provided on the bottle is not always clear and can be difficult to interpret accurately. It takes longer than expected to obtain reliable results, which defeats the purpose of having a convenient testing solution. The inclusion of a free e-book is a nice gesture; however, it does not compensate for the shortcomings of the test strips themselves. The additional information provided in the e-book does little to improve the overall experience or address the issues with accuracy and durability. In terms of usage tips, the instructions recommend keeping the strips away from moisture and closing the cap tightly between uses. Despite following these instructions diligently, the strips still deteriorated quickly, further highlighting the lack of quality and longevity.Overall, I cannot recommend the Pool and Spa Test Strips. The inconsistent results, poor durability, and overall lack of value make this product a disappointment. I would advise seeking alternative testing options that offer more accurate and reliable results, even if it means investing in a slightly higher-priced option.

Good product for testing water chlorine and ph levels.
I use this product every time we want to go into our hot tub. It has been a perfect tester to determine how much product is needed to get the correct ph and chlorine amounts in the water.
