Nervous: A Novel

Zane’s name in Erotica Novels or knowledge thereof dates back 10 years ago in high school. Now that I've finally read the 2nd book of its series I can say I was impressed with the change of direction Nervous took. In Nervous, Jonquinette is a woman who has a split personality. She’s always been a nervous person so she pretty much stayed to herself comfortably. But Jude, her alter ego was her wild side; She exuded confidence, she controlled the nights. When Jonquinette reaches out to Dr. Marcella Spencer, the psychiatrist from Addicted, Jude's response would always be to find a new sexual escapade to have fun.  Meanwhile, a new neighbor Mason moves into her building and shows interest in dating her but Jude isn’t done having her fun and has no intentions of letting Jonquinette fall in love. 
 In this novel, Erotica takes a different turn. Instead of sex being the focal point for driving to book forward, Zane turned the lens to the why’s of her situation, the suppressed memories, coping with trauma she hasn’t dealt with through therapy. Don’t get me wrong there are some great sex scenes but speaking for me, even then I was more focused on what Jude’s action might cause on Jonquinette's life as things kept unfolding. Mason is such a patient, sweet soul. Meeting him to me was somewhat of a godsend for her. Even though Jude wants to ruin their chance before it begins.
 Overall, I would recommend this book. It was a great read for more than what you bargained for. I can say I was impressed with the change of direction Nervous took.

This book had me on my feet, toes and then some. Great read and I couldn’t even put the book down for even a second to go on social media. Towards the end when jetta took over jonquenet scared the black off my skin 🤣🤣🤣 but so glad that the truth came out and her step sister flower was taken away from her child abuse father to protect her. This book was like watching a hot intriguing book that takes you through all kinds of emotional turbulence. Love love love it.

So I didn't want to rate the author negatively because the book is good. I did have to return it because there were roughly 40 pages missing from the novel and inserted in its place was a different novel. So I did miss part of the story. Also I had to pay for the package to return to the novel so I wasn't happy about that since there was an error in the printing.

I love Zane's work. This book was another. I truly couldn't book this book down. I was glad to see Jon had a decent ending after all she had been through. There should be a continuation in the mix. I truly enjoyed this book.

No doubt about it, I knew that "Nervous" was going to be an interesting read, because Zane always produces something interesting. It was almost like a fictional story, but I'm sure that there's plenty of people out there who suffer with MPD (Multiple Personality Disorder) just like Jonquinette, the main character. I'm not sure which Zane books go in what order, but although she is a phenomenal writer, "Nervous" seems like an earlier work of hers before she really got her feet wet in writing books. I thought that this book of hers was a little mild and less descriptive on the sex scenes than what I'm used to. The end of the book is a real shocker...I wasn't expecting that at all. Overall, awesome writing Zane. I have some more of your books coming in the mail next week!!!! LOL

This was an outstanding book to read, you never think about things until it's in your face, how many people live like this they say alter ego but could it really multiple personalities?

If u like sexcapades then you will like all of zanes books, she takes u to the limits and make u want to try the things with your significant other.

Loved this book, only just read it as I was driving and thus did not have the time to read it now that I have found the time it was well worth the wait. Didn't quite expect it to end that way (something more dramatic sprang to mind) but still it was a good read.
