I bought this as a gift to my wife for her birthday, and it arrived two days before her birthday. Reasonably priced and very fast delivery.

Good quality. Good sound. Loved this movie then and now.

Like everyone else reviewing on here - I was a young teenager around 13 when the movie debuted. Yeah, Rex Smith became everyone's sweetheart after this movie. For some reason, I have remembered this movie ever since. I am not sure why, but maybe it was my dream to live Jesse's dream back then - although I never did. I found it on Amazon and decided to buy it as you can't find the full length movie on Youtube. Man, were days so much simpler back then! In those days a 13 year old could get on a bus by herself and go to guitar lessons or be left home while her parents went out for the evening or even pass and date a 17 year old - btw, Rex never passed for a 17 year old IMO in this movie!. Back then, he was every girl's dream. Looking at it now with adult eyes, I am like what the hell? She's 13 and in a car with a 17 year old! This probably wouldn't fly by today's standards, but 40+ years ago, it was quite the norm. I still follow Rex on FB - he's not as heart-throbbish as he was back then, but then who of us are? If you want to go back in time and watch it was like when I was a teen with no Facebook, texting, social media or cell phone - kids today would be shocked we were even able to meet anyone! Worth the price - fun to watch and reminisce!

I saw this when I was 9 and I'm 56 now it has stuck with me since then. Thank you Rex Smith for the reminder of my past.

When I was a pre-teen / early teen adolescent the soundtrack album for this was one of the first albums I ever owned (got it at a yard sale, I think) and was one of my favorites for a few years. I listened to it again and again and again, and admit, I spent a lot of day-dreamy time staring at the back cover (if you know what I'm referring to!). The songs are so catchy and memorable, and innocently sweet. I just heard it again (via youtube videos) for the first time since I was a teenager, and remembered all the words like it was yesterday. When I looked it up on Amazon I was surprised to learn that it was a movie soundtrack (I had no idea until now), so I've ordered the movie and can't wait to see it! I'm happy to see it so highly reviewed here (4.5 out of 5 stars ?? Wow !!). It sounds like I'm in for a treat!

Hadn’t seen this since I was a kid. Sat and watched it right away and was so glad I ordered it!

It was 1979, and I was 13 years old when this movie debuted on television. I lived in the middle of a remote rural area, and it was the first time I had ever seen a teen idol like Rex Smith. I never saw that movie again until finally, it's 40th anniversary rolled around..... It is impossible to find on digital streaming, and the current owner of the film has done nothing to improve the overall quality or digitize the film. Going into this you realize you were buying a DVD dub of actual film. On an HD screen, it can be a little annoying.Still, for those of us who were teenagers in the summer of 1979 or around there, it brings back a time when things weren't quite so complicated, and a really cool guy could pull off driving a station wagon and dancing like Mick Jagger without looking stupid.To sum up: if you remember tiger beat, Leif Garrett, and if you cared if Joni loves Chachi.... This is the movie for you.

Oh the memories this movie brings back - the terrible songs, the atrocious hairstyles, the poor production quality - all things that went over the head of my 12year old self, instead captivating my heart with the possibility of romance between former plain Janes & wannabe rock stars. Just watching this sends me shooting backwards in time before social media ruined childhoods & we teenage girls were able to make fashion & make up faux pas in private, and be in love with the mere prospect of our first kiss - oh what days! Oh what a film! Oh Michael!

This Movie is exactly what every one of us went through, when we were teenagers......but with a twist. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you will reminiss about those years, when we did anything and everything, just to get noticed. This is a movie that is great for teenagers through to the adults. You wiil laugh at the comedic scenes, cry at the tenderness, and also that sore throat, you get when you get all choked up. And after the movie, I guarentee that this movie, will have you talking about the fashions, the music, and laugh or cry about a first love, or crush. Highly recommended, for gigggles, tears, and toe tapping music. At least it was........when we remember.....back then.

This movie is the best! Rex Smith is as sexy as they get- then and now! This movie is as good today as when I watched it 40 years ago- it’s timeless. Brings back all those memories of being a teenage girl.

For years i have been searching for a film from my youth which i always knew as the sky band, imagine my suprise to stumble across sooner or later; my kids thought i had gone crazy shouting. I loved this film when i was a teenager and i really want my own teenage daughter to watch it...i know she will love it the same as i once did and still do. They dont make them like this anymore lol!!!Absolutely fantastic film, definately worth watching... jessie made me learn the guitar too in my teens hoping to find my michael lol!!!
