Love this set! Great movies and great price!

The movies are classic! But the actual product has me a little unsure. The dvds are labeled like disc 1, disc 3, disc 4, and disc 5. I just don't understand a reason for them to be labeled like that. Did they take these discs from a different set that came with more dvds and just put them into this boxed set or......? Anyway, I guess I should say that the one disc I have watched so far did work perfectly--I guess it's just the disc labeling that has me confused

Classic Silver Screen gems from yesteryear. I've always liked the styles of the films from what I consider to have been the best years of Hollywood, and these are definitely among them.

Very enjoyable bit of cotton candy viewing. Focus is on music and, of course, Esther's incredible diving.

I love Esther Williams movies!! And these TCM collections are the cheapest you can find. You don't have to give your right arm to be a DVD collector sometimes.I know that for some people these TCM collections are a problem, because sometimes they are region 1 DVDs, and they don't play on European DVD players, unless they're multi-region. For me it's never a problem, as I play DVDs with region 2 in the DVD player, and the DVDs region 1 on the computer, connecting the computer to the TV. But I know that for someone is. Well, with this collection you won't have problems, as all the DVDs play in my DVD player.Amazon doesn't tell you about the special features - beside the usual shorts and cartoons, I think you should know that there is the Private Screenings with Esther Williams, hosted of course by Robert Osborne. The greatest bonus in a DVD!!About the movies - fun!!!!Bathing Beauty is one of my favorite Esther movies, along with Easy to Love and The Duchess of Idaho. Esther has great chemistry with Red Skelton, as well as with Van Johnson. Of course, a movie with Red Skelton is always fun! This one is extra special in my opinion because, beside being Esther's real first movie (there is her debut in Andy Hardy), there is the glamorous and spectacular finale, maybe the best Esther Williams water number. I think this introduced the water ballet, right? But the movie itself is real fun!Dangerous When Wet - it's a little more dramatic than other Esther movies, but it has its moments of comedy. Though it's almost a serious movie. I guess I won't spoil it for you saying that the highlight of the movie is Esther swimming with Tom and Jerry, as they are in the credits. It's not like watching Jerry dancing with Gene Kelly, but it's so cool anyhow! When you have Tom and Jerry on the screen, you can never go wrong!On an Island with You - I don't know if I'm alone in this, but I enjoyed so, so much this one! I thought Esther and Peter Lawford had a pretty good chemistry too. I really thought the story was cute, and I liked it very much!Neptune's Daughter - "Baby, it's Cold Outside" must be the highlight of the movie right? It might be the usual fun and swimming movie as the Esther Williams movies are, and that's why at my first view I thought it was only okay. But on my second view, I really loved it! Esther and Ricardo Montalban looked good together, and they have a very nice and fun and romantic story. There are also Red Skelton and Betty Garrett, and that says it all! Always great performers and hilarious.. so you can imagine when put them together! Well, fun movie!!!

Fantastic - I really wanted to see Neptune's Daughter but all the other dvds were very expensive! This was only around £9 for 4 movies! I already had a DVD player that played multi regional, so that was fine.

Although some reviews said it works on uk players I found that it didn’t. Also I received 1 dvd with 2 films on but there should have been 4 films.

This was sold saying would work in uk but clearly wasn’t meant for sale out with USA as stated on the box and never worked in our dvd player
