2010 album, ripping it up once again with a touch of the old school.

The Graves Of The 80's
This is one of my favorite Dark Throne albums. I know. I know. I'm in the minority here. Most fans prefer their freezing cold black metal trilogy (Under a Funereal Moon, A Blaze In The Northern Sky & Transylvanian Hunger), and fans of their more recent crust punk/D-beat style prefer F.O.A.D. But I like this more than F.O.A.D. & Dark Thrones And Black Flags. I can listen to this cover to cover. I am a bigger fan of goofy Fenris and his love of all things metal, especially traditional, speed and d-beat. Nocturnal Culto commands 3 of the 10 tracks here, and they unsurprisingly lean more toward the black side. I Am The Graves Of The 80's is worth the price of admission. It's simple, straightforward, funny and one of my favorite songs period, at this time. The title track is awesome. Album opener, Those Treasures Will Never Befall You is a fun, traditional/power metal song, through the blackened punk filter of 2009-10 Dark Throne, and it too is super tasty. Other then that, you get 10 songs, and you don't need to skip any. Highly recommended for the not so serious black metal and/or metallic punk can alike

Circle The Speakers For This One!
If you are one of those fans who clings to 1995 and expects a different variation of Transylvanian Hunger every two years then this album or most of their history after 2002 isn't for you. This band has evolved in many directions over the years and have released albums that explored various styles within Metal to great success. They are, simply put, the greatest Metal act in existence and definitely the best since 1990. This release falls into their Crust Punk/Thrash phase and is usually described as a favorite within this era by those who dig it.Bottom line, if you love this band and have enjoyed the entire journey they've been on then you will love this. Standout tracks for me are Stylized Corpse and Eyes Burst At Dawn and recommend either of those as gateway songs if sampling digitally before buying. All hail Darkthrone!! \m/

Darkthrone yet again!
Now this album is kinda weird, its not as punky as the last one and its not quite the Thrashy/Deathy Black Metal theyre known for, its somewhere in between.I enjoyed this album very much altho I will say the vocals, by both members, could have been a little better but it doesnt take away from the album in general. Also for those that buy the Special Edition the caricature of Fenriz and Nocturnal Culto is worth it alone lol.

A good Album
This CD came on time and is a great Darkthrone album to own. Some say this is where Black Metal meets Crust Punk

Darkthrone really made a good move with this CD. It is one of their best. I like the way the band has progressed, and their sound just keeps getting better!!! All songs rock hard. If you like Darkthrone--buy this CD.

The Roots of Black Metal
Most people tend to forget that bands like Venom are the main reason thrash and black metal both exist. The last few Darkthrone albums have captured that early 80's sound. If you like metal you most likely will enjoy this record. For fans of Motorhead, Venom, Slayer.

Black Metal, but different...
By far their best album in the 'new' style. A good mix of songs on this one, taking the best bits from the previous albums in the punk/black metal style that they seem to be favouring these days. I have to say that even as a hardcore Darkthrone fan this change took me a while to get used to, but if they keep improving the new style things are looking good. Definatley worth buying if you like this genre, also would recommend this if you are a fan of bands like, Carnivour (pete steele's first band).

Il Black Metal? Spazzatura!
