Very unique little puukko
The good - Aesthetics, gorgeous! A real looker. Great job and choice of the sisal wrap. Excellent blade and nice job on the etching. The not so good - Exposed metal on handle had a sharp edge but filed off easily. Blade point had a burr that was fixed with 3 to 4 strokes on a stone. Blade was only sharp, not hair popping sharp. A little stropping got it to acceptable. So there, overall I still absolutely love it and consider it among my favorites. I would definately recommend a buy it on this little beauty as long as you don't mind possibly doing a little refining on it. I think most folk would be very impressed with it.

Good + bad = OK
This is kind of a cool little knife but you are paying a lot for what you get (in my opinion). The steel is high grade and the knife has a respectable build quality. I like the jibbing.A few things that prompted me to give this knife an average rating:- The handle is very small so it's not possible for me to get a good grip or leverage- There is not a way clip the knife to your pocket or use it as a neck knife. It comes with a small leather sheath. In order to carry it in your pocket the knife needs to be in its sheath. When it's time to use the knife you have to take both out and pull the blade out. This makes for a relatively slow deployment. Once the knife is out and ready to be used you have to do something with the loose sheath. It's small and I'm having a hard time keeping track of it.My assessment - great knife to display but not very useful. I have a number of small fixed knives that are better designed, equal in quality, but cost much less.

This is a beautiful tool. It's appearance is rustic
This is a beautiful tool. It's appearance is rustic, and the finish is as expected in this price point: unpolished but ready to work out of the box. The form is similar to small household knives used in Scandinavia ca. 1000, and it's survived the test of time in part because of its functionality. The sheathed knife is similar in size to full sized folders, and it's actually a bit smaller in the pocket than, say a swiss army knife. I have small hands and can get a very solid 3 finger grip. I've added a substantial lanyard to the end creating a handle I can fully grip. The factory cordage wrap creates a firm confident grasp, and it feels more secure than my larger folders. It can the work of a much larger knife in part due to its 1 piece construction and in part due to the shape: it's mostly belly and suited to most cutting tasks. The scandi grind is ideal, particularly for wood working, and I while I would prefer a larger knife for bushcraft, this is adequate, including harvesting and splitting kindling in wet conditions and making notches. This is my EDC knife, and quite equal to EDC tasks, and I like that I can rely on it as an outdoors knife should I make an unexpected detour to the woods, or in an emergency. The sheath is made of thick cowhide. I wet-formed it to the knife and now it locks in almost as well as kydex. My one complaint is that the cordage used for the partial handle wrap transfers dye when wet, and I'll probably rewrap the handle when I find cordage I prefer. The factory edge was adequate to cut paper, and a quick touch up on a Fallkniven dc-3 has made it razor sharp.Highly recommended.

and also easy to sharpen back to a razor's edge
sharp as hell, and also easy to sharpen back to a razor's edge. that's the carbon steel for you. kinda a small knife, but look at the specs before you buy. i love this knife, the sisal wrap on the handle and the overall Finnish design give it a real rustic, old-world look. also, it's fixed blade, so way safer than a folder. the leather sheath covers the entire knife except for the last half-inch of the handle. It is very secure, and the entire thing will fit nicely in your pocket.the inscription of the blade reads, "Woods Knife Finland." this is the company that makes the blade, and their name and emblem are also found on the sheath. It seems to me that Kellam acts as a distributor for the brand. whatever, it's still a great quality blade, although not cheap.that being said, I love mine and feel that it's perfect as an EDC for a young boy or a teen, but too small for a grown man. I take mine with me when I go fishing at the lake, and also around the garden. it does it's job, cutting, marvelously.

Little shortie
Knife is very small, about 4" with a 2" blade. Too small for an adult hand. The knife is extremely sharp and has a miniature cutie sheath.

My fav little knife
This is a super sharp little thing and comes in handy because it disappears in your pocket. Once in its sheath the profile is so slim it’s like it’s not even there. Love it.

Surprisingly good. Give it a try.
The sheath is strictly a cover for the blade but you could get creative and make this a great belt or neck knife. But, I really like this as a pocket knife. It rests perfectly in a front pocket. You don’t notice it at all. No locks or pivots to maintain or be a source of issues, nothing to make holes in you pocket, no clip to rip up your jeans.Mine came with a bit of a funny half polished Scandi grind but quite serviceable.

Count Your Fingers
NOTHING prevents your fingers from sliding up the blade and getting cut. Terrible design. Too bad the bent metal handle does not end in a lip.
