I bought this for $68 at a used price which I figured coming from makita that the tool would be in better condition, although this tool works it does not hold a place in my tool box with sharpie, rust and mold on the tool.Pretty upset that I Bought this product at the price stated and had to lose money on the return :/

These were great impacts, I love the ergonomics and power. We use them for Electrical work mounting boxes and installing devices. They also word great for working on Appliances or Air Conditioners.It seems this item is on the way out, I have bought over a dozen over the years. I really prefer the feel over other brands it took many months to decide between this and the other brands( especially when I did not know better to be deceived by the 12v marketing of others when Li-Ion first came out) before purchasing during the recession.These do not compare to their bigger brothers the 18v line but they are easy to carry on our belts and meet our day to day needs.

Today money is everything so this tool was a really good purchase for me. Its built tough and is light enough to use all day without fatigue. Battery life is great too. Super good tool for a truly affordable price.

Highly recommended. Actually more cost effective to buy the kit which has both drill and impact drivers. But, if like me you bought the drill only kit first, this impact driver is a nice addition. It is not as heavy duty as the 18V impact drivers I have tried in the past (Dewalt and Makita), but of course much cheaper and more compact. It works great for 4" deck screws (faster and last longer than the drill). I even used it for a few lag bolts, but probably on the upper end of its acceptable use and I would not try that for hours at a time.

Having to drive in over 200 3" 2/pitch deck screws made getting this driver a necessity. Plenty of power to do well over 4 dozen of those screws with a single charge, so it coincided well with taking a break from being out in the full sun. They're a lot lighter than the 18V series, a plus for my 65 year old arms, and have plenty of torque.The ONLY knock is on the entire 12V series; both this driver and the regular drill have a light that is not offset enough from the drive shaft, creating a shadow precisely where you need to have light. Not a problem in daylight but a minor nuisance when working indoors.

I already had the 3/8 drive version of this tool and it came with two batteries, so buying this was a no brainer. I am a professional BMW technician and use this all day everyday. It is very light but suprisingly powerful. Any quick change bit or extension will work well. The battery life is amazing too. I can use this thing all week and not have to charge it up.
