Having bought a new MacBook obviously knew the adapter pain was coming, but didn’t realise Apple didn’t even make one of these. I have TWO of the Cinema Display screens I use so after research was recommended this and it works a treat. As others / reviews have said are a almost not noticeable short strip of dead / erroneous pixels at the top of the screen but only whilst using finder I noticed and I didn’t even clock it to begin with.

This product is amazing
Although this adapter is expensive, I purchased it to connect my new MacBook Pro 2018 15" to my old Apple 24" Cinema Displays (DisplayPort version). Amazing, it worked perfectly! I love it so much that I have just bought another one.Highly recommended.

ONLY works with LCD Cinema Display with mini-display port not Thunderbolt
Good product, well built - most importantly it works and it’s cheaper than anything else you could buy from Apple. There are similar products for less out there but this really works making me very happy!!

Does the job!
I use this with my Apple external display and a magsafe-to-USBC power adaptor (plugged in to this unit) to connect the loose cable from the display to my new PB. It works fine!
