I searched on online to find replacement parts for our old kitchen swivel tilter chairs. Abacus Swivel Chair Parts web set had maybe what we could use and instructions as to how to remove and replace the parts. We purchased parts for only one chair to make sure it would work. The swivel chair tilter and plastic insert cost and the shipping cost us $106.86. [ one chair] The parts worked great. My next step was to check Amazon to se if we could order the same parts from them. With our Prime and 2 day shipping we were able to purchase 3 additional swivel tilters and plastic the inserts [Sold by the same company] for about $154.00. The hardest part was putting the new plastic inserts back into the steel shaft, it is a tight fit. Just be sure that you have the correct measurements. Order one, if it works, order the rest of what you need, if it doesn’t, sent it back to Amazon. Would we recommend these, and would we do it again, In a silly heart beat

11 years ago I bought 3 chairs ($500 each) with this swivel/tilt mechanism on each chair. The chairs received a lot of use in those years, and all three chair mechanisms eventually broke. I realize that these mechanisms are expensive, but they are a good value if I can get another 11 years out of them. By the way, the replacement parts look identical to the original parts. Finally, the mechanism is extremely easy to replace.

Perfect replacement for my Trendler swivel/Tilt mechanism on my Tempo dining chair. Also needed to replace the plastic sleeve/bushing which I purchased from this same seller. Watched a coupleYouTube videos on the removal of the bushing and the mechanism replacement and it made it a really easy job!

The quality of this product exceeded my expectations , it fit my 25 year old chair and was also of a better design for ( 2 Reasons ). 1. Being it is reinforced where my older one was broken. 2. The tilt mechanism spring has an adjustment that is very simple to adjust.This is a very good product ,I would recommend highly, much better quality and design than the 25 year old one it replaced.

This product came on time and was exactly as described. Gave it a 4 because we have no idea how long it will last. It fit perfectly and the repair was easy.

The original piece broke on my chair. I could not believe that this would be an exact replacement part. It was 100% the same as the original part. It was a piece of cake replacing it. Perfect!

Yep... bought these form this firm before, and they're PERFECT replacements for our aging Chromcraft 'captains chairs'. Bar none, a virtual 100% exact replacement for the original pedestals.My ONLY criticism is that because they are (from every aspect I can see) 100% identical to the originals, they suffer from the same small design limitation that Chromcraft made originally: that being that the pedestal shaft is not welded to the swivel / tilt seat base, and are only "press-fit" into the base plate... So you know what's gonna happen .. If a person of 'substantial size' or weight routinely uses one of these, that 'press-fit' will (at some point) separate from the base plate and the chair begins to "wobble" side-to -side, and so will require replacement - which I've done a NUMBER of times over the past several years on our seven chairs. But in truth, I'm not certain there IS a means to weld these to the base plate - so.... these are a 100% perfect replacement.

Since Amazon would not publish my initial feed back I will not comment on the manufacturers customer service. This is the only swivel tilt replacement I could find for the 5 1/4" bolt pattern. I ordered it to eliminate the popping and cracking sounds coming from the old one. This swivel did not solve the problem.This swivel seems to be looser then my original one.You don't have any choice other then try your luck on one. Just save the packing encase you decided to send it back. Manufacture wants you to deal with him. SEND IT BACK TO AMAZON
