Q: I read that some PU leather was made from the fibrous part of the hide left over from making genuine leather. So my ?? is, is this faux or not?

PU leather means PolyUrethane leather. It's vinyl, aka plastic. Not true animal hide leather.

Q: when are going to get other colors?

It’s burgundy. The shine and material of it makes the color pop! I wouldn’t consider it as dark
