Ezdry Excalibur 5-Tray Stackable Dehydrator

this is made of very thin plastic and easy to break. Have used the machine occasionally for less than a year and it is now completely not working and cutting out. Would not recommend this product

I am amazed how lovely dehydrated fruit turned out. This is a great product and value for money. It is also compact.If you need your dehydrator to make yoghurt direct in glass jars or use it to rise your bread the other excalibur models are better as you can remove trays for height. You can't do that with this one. If you are avoiding storing in plastic, you would have to make your yoghurt and divide it into the four plastic pots provided to ferment then remove the yoghurt and put it into a glass jar or try to find glass containers the same size or shape.

The pictures of the product were different to what i received so i returned the unit. It was an Excalibur machine but not the model advertised.

I have had this Excalibur Stackable Dehydrator for 18 months now and am very pleased with it. I had been wary of getting this vertical stacking type of dehydrator with the central fan at the bottom, as many places on the internet say you will have problems with the drying being uneven, and you will have to swap the trays around. Due to the cost, I got this type anyway, and I have not had the problems they warned of at all.The dehydrator feels sturdy and well-made. It dries evenly, you can adjust the temperature, and the range of temperatures for each type of food is on the lid. I have used it for fruits, vegetables, herbs, nuts, soaked granola and even homemade cosmetics, and it has worked well with all of those. I have not used it to make meat jerky or full meals, but I am confident that it will work well for those when I get round to it.Perhaps the only drawback is that it doesn't have a timer, but as there are so many other devices I could use to time it, that isn't a problem for me. Overall, very pleased with this product!

One star cos you can’t submit a review with no stars. I researched hydrators and Excalibur came out tops. I was so disappointed when it went up in a puff of smoke. Tried to return it but I had to pay my own postage so I just wrote it off as a bad experience as it would have cost almost the same price of the item. I won’t buy from this seller again because of this return policy. If I decide to buy again I will not buy the stackable model again.

The machine works well though, but a basic model with a DIY timing.

The Photos of the 5 tray stackable xcalibur do not match the description in any way shape or form. The description is describing a digital white dehydrator with a clear lid while the photos show a dark coloured dehydrator with a dial thermostat and an off on switch. When ordering this item you get the digital dehydrator. I have now sent this back twice and made amazon aware the photo and the description are 2 different items. .
