This is a really great filament. I use it exclusively in my Lulzbot Taz5. It has great temperature performance, and it consistently produces reliable prints.Only once (out of many repeat purchases) did I receive a sub-standard roll of filament. I could tell it wasn't the normal quality because the finish on the filament was a dull, matte finish rather than the usual glossy finish. Being the optimist, I tried it anyway, and it gummed up my nozzle pretty quickly. Lesson learned, shouldn't have tried it when I knew it was probably not going to work. That being said, around that time (just a day or two after I received the shipment) the company contacted me and asked for feedback. I gave them my candid remarks, and in pretty much no time at all they sent a replacement roll of filament.Their customer service is really top notch... a lot of other companies could take a cue from them. :)Without reservation I highly recommend this product -- great performance, great support

By far the worst filament I've used
I purchased this for a series of long prints on one of my Lulzbot TAZ printers. I've used about 1lb out of it so far just trying to get it to print right.1) Dimensional accuracyIt's so out of spec that even live extrusion adjustment with a width sensor only marginally improves the prints. Based on the extensive measurements I've taken, it's true width is ~2.85 but that wildly varies +-0.2mm. Absolutely unacceptable and mostly unusable. 2) PackagingIt (and the descant) was water laden when it arrived and needed to be dried. Since it's 5lb of filament, it took about 30 hours at 120 degrees. I did print with it before drying and it was a joke. Popping during extrusion, poor finish, and no tolerance for bending.3) TemperatureThere is no way it will print at the suggested 190-200C. My printer has historically been a workhorse with a bed that needs little to no adhesion assistance. However, this filament needs at least a 55C bed temp and 210C extrusion temp.At this point I'm tempted to just throw the whole thing away, but I'm determined to get some use-able prints out of it. Using this filament has been the most frustrating printing experience I've had to date.

Great quality
The first thing I made with this filament was a very high detailed tugboat model. It came out perfect with a smooth finish.

IC3D ABS is amazing, but look elsewhere for PLA
I almost exclusively use IC3D for ABS filament so I figured I'd switch to them for PLA. I don't know if I got a bad spool or what, but it's way more brittle and doesn't print as well as the brand I usually use. I've also encountered a few snags while printing. Usually it works itself out but three hours into a print it didn't and ended up breaking because it was so brittle.

Winding is poor
Filament quality itself seems decent, well packed, and reasonably bendy. However I encountered several winding problems: the filament was stuck under other filament quite a few times during 3-4 long prints, causing the gripper to fail. Examining the spool reveals that the winding is uneven and some of the filament is stuck under other filament. Bad roll?

Buy this if you want to have an aneurysm
Let me start this by saying I use a high volume of filament for my business. Because of this I have tested many different brands of filament to attempt to find "the one" perfect filament. I saw IC3D's filament as a good American made product that I could stand behind. That is, until I got it in the mailRight off the bat, the filament was sealed in the box, but I noticed inside the wrapping the spool was covered with dust. Dust and a 200+C hotend do not mix. So I took the spool and blew it out with compressed air next to my HEPA filter to keep it from blowing around the room, and decided to give it a shot...Don't ask me how they achieved this, but when I print with this black there are spots of matte finish, and spots of gloss. I have never in my 3D printing career seen this happen with even the cheapest Chinese filaments. Also the dimensional accuracy is definitely out of spec on both of the rolls I purchased, which makes my Ultimaker 2+ very cranky and constant adjustment of the filament feeder is needed. So, aside from the jams, the patchy finish, and poor QC, this filament is almost as good as the chinese equivalent, and costs 50% more! What a bargain...needless to say, I will not be purchasing from IC3D again. Use at your own risk

Perfect Filament!
Great Filament, prints perfectly on my TAZ 4 at 200 C. Went through 2 other types of filament before coming across IC3D. This will likely become my go to filament from now on.Thanks!
