Earthquake warning would have been nice.
As a person who has collected a lot of speakers like altec lightning, JBL partybox 300, altec expedition 850, ETC. This speaker by far is my best speaker. Ive been using it for music and home theater and i have to say its off the charts good!!! I love the bass! You can feel it and hear it especially the mids-highs!!! Only complaint is i cant get the Bluetooth part to work🤔 other than that this speaker is worth it.

Great speaker but....
Had to remove control panel and check what was going on. Wires came loose on multiple times, causing display to shut off, from playing It i guess to loud. I love the EQ you can really balance the sound of. I gave it 4 stars because it's a great speaker but customer service is not. Tried to say I didn't know what I was doing. So make sure you get the 3 year warranty.

Incredibly loud while maintaining clarity!
I’m incredibly impressed with the speaker so far. I’ve used it twice, including one day for 12 hours straight. I bought the BPA225 for a party I was having in a large field, and it definitely did not disappoint. It was incredibly loud while still maintaining clarity and sound quality. If you are looking for a speaker that can fill an area with sound for a budget price, you definitely can’t go wrong with this one.

Super disappointed overall
I bought this for the crew at my work, and it sounded amazing for the first couple days in the grow because when your watering thousands of plants, everyone needs music right. Then the compression horn blew, so I figured I was pushing it too hard and bought a better design than the one that it came with. Nope, blew that one in an hour. So, foolishly, I bought an amazing peavey horn that could handle more than this pile could ever throw at it, and figured while I'm at it I'll replace the 15's with the upgraded Rockville units, and I'll fix the problem and make it more reliable. Huge mistake! This garbage just trashed the peavey even with the proper bass blocker installed. The crossover is just junk and so is the amp! Of course the warranty is long past and return shipping was over $100 and now I have almost $800 into this and it sounds like trash. The internals are cheap and for the money this is a huge waste. Please don't buy this if you need reliable equipment for any occasion.

Lasting portable fun
A great buy. Very versatile with blue tooth and pairing capability. Awesome sound effects for up to two microphones. Sound quality is really good with built-in equalizer. Thumbs up

Surprisingly muddy sound
Probably I am expecting too much but I do think that a pair of cheapest 8-inch active studio monitors (e.g. Behringer Truth B2031A) sound infinitely better than a single BPA225 and cost exactly the same.Surely it is loud and is full of electronic gizmos (built in Bluetooth, equalizer, not to mention the amplifier with many inputs), but the sound is quite muddy.Absence of auto turn on and off and 10.5 watt idle power consumption means that the speaker will consume 252 watts a day or 92 KW a year = less than $20 annually if the cost of electricity is 20 cents or less per kilowatt. So it OK to leave it running, right? Not so fast. The speaker has an always on noisy fan (have your engineers heard about temperature-controlled fans, or your managers decided to save few cents on NTC resistor attached to the heatsink, comparator, transistor, and 3 regular resistors?). It means that BPA225 better be turned off when not in use (even if fan humming all the time is OK), otherwise in 3-5 years the fan will die...It is probably works just fine providing a lot of sound and connectivity on very tight budget, but if sound quality matters one need to look someplace else.

Found an electrical short on the circuit
When I first got it it worked great. But after a while the sound would start to fade out and simply not work.As an electrician I assumed that either1: the soldering must be bad2: there’s a short3: or there’s a bad potentiometerThe second it took it apart you can see an open wire that leads into the volume control. The lead was cut too short when they were connecting it to the circuit card (super rookie mistake on the part of the guy that assembled it) plus there is little to no sodering, and they relied on superglue instead to hold the wires in place. This isn’t a huge deal, but it’s not top quality from an electricians point of view.Personally I think the system it’s self is great, and would buy another one, as the sound quality is amazing, but the QA for Rockville really needs to catch this before I do.
