Overheats. Too hot to hold immediately after use.
I promised you a review after I had an opportunity to use this thumb drive: Warning: Despite my liking this product (it is attractive, functional, useful, and impressive at meetings) I need you to know that, so far, I have used 2 of these thumb drives and both of them overheat much more than my other drives. Seriously, I just copied 3 G onto the drive, it is very hot. Using a digital meat thermometer, the temperature reached 102 degrees. Please conduct more tests on this product. I suspect that if I copied 10 G, it would get even hotter. Recommend product design evaluation to enable faster cooling during use and a CAUTION warning. Seriously, copy 10 G onto one of these drives and try to hold it in your hand. Sincerely hope this is helpful. Note: I have no interest in this feedback being published, I only want to let the company know about this problem I encountered. If you have any questions, you can contact me at [email protected]. Thank you, Sean

Tight Fit for the Speedy Drives
Very good presentation out of the box, with minimal packaging (a good thing in my eyes) and very good looking flash drives. I received 3 sets of colors, blue red and pearl white; 2 each. These drives have a metal enclosure with a rubber pull band to attach to keys etc; overall high quality materials. I tested them all first thing when I got them in to mail to be sure of their performance. Even before the results, I noticed that the USB size tolerance on all of these drives makes them for a *very* tight fit in my usb slots. This was confirmed on multiple machines, some were were than others. This would be a good thing usually, but the rubber pull band on each drive feels like it will break away from the drive because of the forces involved. Now the only way to remove this drive is to get a good grip on the small metal body of the drive-- defeating the point for the rubber pull band. Across all drives that I received, the average speeds were around 117MB/s read and 37MB/s Write.

Great for USB 3 or 2
I live out in the countryside where internet is anywhere between slow and non-existent. Sometimes I can use my phone as a hotspot, but even that is not always reliable. So when I have large uploads or downloads I drive into town and do the work at the public library. Using these devices I no longer have to take several thumb drives for a single project.Last week I sent some files to a friend in Houston on one of these drives. It arrived safe and sound and he was able to read all the files with no problems.I would 1) buy again if needed and 2) recommend that others buy if they need them.

One Out of the 6 Was USB 2.0 Only and They Fit Tightly
I tested all 6 immediatly on arrival.Copied 2GB of data onto them OK and Crystal Disk Mark showed slightly better results than as advertised - except for one of the flash drives, which would not work at all on USB 3.0, but worked OK on USB 2.0.While these are metal, which is good, they are very tight to cram fully into the USB port. Don't know if that will put strain the port or not.UPDATE;I get a magnifier and looked inside the connector of the malfunctioning one. Some pins in back were bent and too springy to straighten. It may have come that way or maybe first time it is used it cannot fit the slot right and the pins bend. Who knows. Enough remaining pins allows it to be USB 2.0

Not durable, and they run very hot, but decent value
I was going to buy the customizable version, but the durability is terrible, and I fear the constant overheating may ruin the logo and text.Despite being a good value for the money, these run VERY hot in a very short amount of tims, under a very low.level of stress (think 1gb file transfer causing the drive to run at 125f) and the durability of these flash drives was called into question on day 1 of being attached to my lanyard. Within less than a full day's work, the colored circular piece on the end fell off, nowhere to be found. I liked the colors because it was an easy way for me to tell which flash drive contained what (I'm in IT and I use them for work). Anyhow, as my wife suggested, I'll just put a dab of nail polish on each to distinguish them.

Versatile, reliable, simple to use, cost effective!
I use this unit 6-pack to supply photos for my new projector. I use the projector during my morning lectures and I have found these USB drives to work great. I develop my lectures on an older laptop PC and leave the USB drive plugged in so I can copy appropriate photos to it as I write my lectures. Once don’t, I simply move the USB drive to my projector unit and it works great! By having the 6 I can maintain several days worth of lecture photos in my projector case in case I need to review them later. After a week, I just copy the photos to a drive on my laptop pc, then I can use that USB drive for a new lecture. Simple, sensible, and easy to use. Wish I had bought these when I first got the projector! I have the, now though, and I recommend them to others who are trying to do as I do.
