Plugs into adapter track (included) and provides fuel information and position to your young driver. It was a bit confusing at first as the display shows the position for the car number selected vice displaying the car number always. This feature would be helpful if you do not have the position tower; however, I have the tower and showing the position on display adds a bit of confusion. Once you realise how operation is supposed to be, it is a snap. I simply tell the boys this particular driver display is for your car.I purchased three of them, one for each boy.Recommended accessory

Works ok but kind of confusing to switch from 1 car to the others.Requires buying another unit to monitor other cars without out switching back snd forth.

Divertente ma non indispensabile

Bought to add to my existing driver displays. Works very well but only if a control unit is fitted (i.e. NOT the original black box type of controller) together with a fully operational pit stop lane. The displays give useful info about position in the race so positioning them close to the used hand controller makes sense. Note that a suitable "plug in" straight is included which will accommodate two units side by side. These straights have female input sockets both sides so a position tower, for example, can also be plugged in. An expensive addition (especially if SIX are purchased to track 6 132 scale cars) but not much point getting say just one if 6 car races are contemplated. Just 4 needed for 124 scale cars. A good addition but a major investment (like most of the Carrera range), You get what you pay for I guess.
