Surdy well made bags make growing potatoe much easier
Nice size, fits a half a dozen or so chitted, seed potatoes. You just fill the bag a third full of compost, place the potatoes sprout up, then add 15cm of compost and water regularly. There are 2 handles on the side making it easy to carry into position. As promised, I have now added a photo showing how well things are going in just 4 weeks. There is a handy window also on one side which means you can inspect/harvest the potatoes, apparently around seven weeks time.Excited to see how this works out. I will add results here in a couple of months.UPDATE END OF AUGUSTGiven the number of likes I have received for this review, I thought it right to return at the end of the process.Picture 2 above shows some of our crop. What have I learnt? The results are dependent on the quality of the chitted potatoes you use. Ours were Maris Piper. The potatoes were perhaps smaller than I hoped for.I would certainly say it takes longer than 7 weeks, I would leave them until the leaves start to yellow.Make sure you water through droughts.Keep adding soil as instructed, otherwise if the seedlings are too near the top they will go green. The potatoes tasted fresh and great to eat.I would certainly repeat the process again.

Fantastic bags for everyone to use...even on a balcony.
Fantastic bags. Very sturdy and easy to move around although quite heavy once filled. This is the first time I’ve used these and I am very impressed. They retain the moisture although never soggy. I placed them on a pallet to keep off the ground to help to keep pests and rabbits away and for the air to circulate.I have 4 bags. I filled two with potatoes that I chitted from Maris Piper potatoes ( not expecting much but it was the only thing I had at the time.) I also planted broccoli and carrots from seed. I think I may have put too many potatoes in. I placed 5 Will post more pictures after they are ready.....hopefully a good result.Update 20th July 2020Still growing strong.31/08/2020Leaves starting to yellow. Potatoes showing through the flap. Excited to show results i a week or so.Harvest Mari Piper 2 bags.....8th October 2020Really pleased with our two bags.Things I would change:Water more, compost was very dry. Some potatoes very small.Maybe leave until all the leaves die back. I maybe picked too early.Buy more bags....Happy Planting :)

It’s in the bag
Bought these as replacement grow bags for my current ones that have given up the ghost. These bags are a good size and appear to be made from a durable and substantial material. The bags they’re replacing were made from a plastic material that has broken down and disintegrated through weathering. The reviews of these bags helped sway me into buying based on durability (material) and accessibility (the flap on the side) for retrieving the potatoes. Little touches such as the Velcro fixings for the flap and the strong handles also go some way to suggesting longevity of use. My wife is the vegetable gardener in our house and her first impression of the bags is favourable, and if she’s happy then joy!

Ideal for small garden...
Buy this grow bags for planting the tomatoes, good for small garden. Good thing is you can remove the bag anytime anywhere, because is not too heavy and really save the space . Plan to buy more so i can grow more vegs...

Compact and easy to move around the garden!
Working well. Plant the potatoes in the rolled down bag and keep covering with soil until the bag is fully unrolled. Plenty green foliage, just need to wait and see what it yields now.

Don't believe the hype
Bought this product based on the reviews I read and I am rarely let down by them tbh.Product looks great.... until you get to using it in your garden. Once I put soil in it the stitching came apart straight away, meaning I was unable to move the product from table to floor without it falling apart.I've no idea if it will survive long enough to deliver potatoes (as long as I don't dare move it) but this I do know - I was much better off with the potato grow bags I bought at Wilko's for a couple of quid a few years back.Sadly not fit for purpose
