I have been using this Neostrata resurfacing cream for several years now in my morning routine. In the evening, I use a retinol cream. In the morning, I like to use an exfoliating/acid cream followed by an oil free moisturizer with spf. This exfoliating/acid cream has been my go-to in the morning for a long time. It is very strong (hence it is effective) so you have to build up to it. People make comments about how nice my skin texture is. I can especially tell a difference when I apply foundation. My skin is brighter and smoother.

May need to start with just a few days per week if you have sensitive skin.

I found this resurfacing cream to be very gentle and mild on my skin but also very effective for making it feel perfectly smooth.It is not drying and actually is quite moisturizing. I am in my 40s and my skin tends to be more dry in areas, especially in winter. This cream satisfies my skin with a touch of moisture while still being potent and doing the resurfacing like it claims.I use this cream on my face, neck, chest, and sometimes slap some on the boobs (good skincare is very beneficial for them too!) It has almost an instant effect which at first I was dismayed at and thought perhaps was some trickery in ingredients such as a silicone to give that smooth feel, but, no - it's my skin. Towards the end of the bottle I could go a few days without using it and still had the same great smooth texture.As I mentioned, I am in my 40s and that means my neck looks like complete misery and it has sort of that chicken skin bumpy texture that I (try to) keep control of with plenty moisture, scrubs, peels, tret, bacon grease... I'll try anything on my neck... OK not bacon grease, but you know what I mean... anyways, this cream has made my neck feel so smooth in comparison to previous condition. Especially from jawline to mid neck it is baby butt smooth which is a complete difference. Lower neck has shown great improvement as well and only has very slight texture. Eliminating that texture improves the overall look and gobbler jiggle.Same improvements with my chest. Too much beach sun along with age causes many changes to the skin. Thicker, more padded feeling, odd texture, multiple textures, brown, blotchiness, red undertones,... mmm attractive. This cream made a huge difference in my chest. Smoother than ever. Skintone looks so much better and more evened out. Texture is nonexistent.Last but certainly not least. The fun bags. It makes them feel better too. All around texture and skin condition is improved which is saying a lot considering normal aging of skin, breast feeding multiple kids, sun, etc etc etc. They become sad monstrosities. This cream definitely gave some appreciated restoration which helped them look and feel better.Just prior to this I was using elemis peel pads twice daily. While I liked those because it did shed off skin for me, it was drying. You do expect that with peels though and I did appreciate the peeling those pads gave because my skin did peel in all the right areas. But towards the end of the tub of pads, it got to be very drying and I was constantly adding moisture throughout the day. It was about that point that I started this cream. I would use one of the elemis pads in the morning and then this cream at night or vice versa and then just weaned to using just this cream. The first night I did try this cream, I was not too impressed, but did notice a difference. I liked the moisture a lot especially since I used it when my skin was feeling rather dried out from the peel pads. Most resurfacing products are serums or liquid types and as such aren't very moisturizing and so you follow it with a moisturizer. I didn't feel like I needed to do that with this cream. I only used moisturizer when my skin told me it needed it. I didn't apply it as a routine after this cream.So, it is nice to have the potency plus the moisture all in one and then just add some basic plain moisture if needed here and there. After more use of it I really began to like it a lot.This is definitely something I would buy again and/or use regularly. I feel like it is something that is gentle, but very effective and it is great maintenence. The fact that I can slack off and not feel like I need to use it every single day after you really get going with it is a plus because that means it is going to last longer as time goes on and makes it more of a value if the price has you debating. I think it is worth it. Especially if you consider that it may eliminate need for moisturizer for you to some degree depending on your skin. That will make your moisturizers last longer and save you some money there as well. Plus, it just feels good to not have so much stuff slathered on sometimes.I also should disclose that I do use tret as well and continued to use it just once or twice a week while using this resurfacing cream. I just make sure to use one in the morn and the other in the eve.. never at the same time. I had no irritations doing so.
