Excellent Resource
I recently finished Dr. Nagib's book on Sozo for Professional Counselors. I am not a licensed counselor but still found this book to be an excellent resource. Very well documented and clearly explains how Sozo fits the Psychology model of treatment, and how well it fits within Christian counseling. I appreciated the extensive use of bible references, which made it clear that Jesus' model of healing is for the whole person, spirit, soul and body. I would highly recommend this book as a supplement to the Bethel Basic and Advanced Sozo Training. Thank you Dr. Nagib for your time, and passion to bring people to the full knowledge of Jesus Christ, saved, healed, and delivered.

it could just as easily be a touch to that part of my body ...
I can't believe the size of the font and the spacing, in an already large size book. It's as though the publishers were scared of a book in a normal font and font size, in a normal paperback book. It wouldn't be a big book, that's for sure. This book is touted as being for professionals, yet the extremely unprofessional presentation detracts from what could have been an interesting book.Reflecting on the narrative in Luke 13 wherein Jesus heals a crippled woman on the Sabbath, the author Nagib says herself, “Jesus restored her soul by calling her out in a public place and physically touching her … He healed her body with the power of his verbal declaration … Jesus verbally restored her identity… This is the model that we as therapists can follow in our work with clients” (p. 68).There are several key phrases here: “calling her out in a public place”; “physically touching her”; “the power of his verbal declaration”; and “verbally restored her identity.” As a client I would be horrified if my counsellor called out my name in public, verbally declared that a spirit was oppressing me and physically touched me. Whilst I accept that a touch could be something as harmless as a touch on the arm, back or shoulder, it could just as easily be a touch to that part of my body that she or he believes is demon-possessed. I shudder to think of where such a practitioner would want to touch a woman with breast cancer or painful menses. But this is exactly the model that Nagib (and by default Sozo, since Nagib is the organisation’s Director for Professional Counselors) believe to be helpful. In sum, not impressed and a waste of money.

Huge font, double spaced
I didn't read this book so I don't think I can give an accurate review. However, my first impression of the book was negative. It is only about 120 pages and some of those pages are totally blank or taken up completely with a PowerPoint slide. The font is huge and double spaced and I wasn't satisfied with the price of the product.

Disappointed
I was disappointed with this book. It didn't have any more information than was provided in basic sozo training and the type was so big it seemed gimmicky.

Viel Papier, wenig Inhalt
A lot of paper, not much on it.
