Useful for saving weight
Unless you need to save weight, leave here and go buy a regular lead acid battery. If you need to save weight then read on.You might need to make electrical modifications to make a lithium battery work well in your application. All lithium batteries are sensitive to over charging and over discharging. This battery has protections for both, many other batteries lack these protections and are fire hazards. If you, for example, leave your lights on, eventually the battery will shut off. The battery includes a special charge cable with a button on it. You can push this button to turn the battery back on and start your vehicle, no need to jump it!Many older motorcycles and even some new ones have voltage regulators that will cause issues with this battery. Shunt style regulators can react too slowly when voltage output from the alternator goes up and down and this can trip the batteries internal over voltage protection. To make matters worse some voltage regulators will not properly regulate without a battery, so when the battery protects itself you might find your regulator output exceeding 20 volts! I had to replace my regulator with a Mosfet style regulator to prevent this problem. This is a LifePo4 battery, one of the safest lithium chemistries. Much less likely to go into thermal runaway compared to other chemistries. Combine that with the batteries internal protections designed to prevent damage and you have a fairly safe battery. This is installed in the experimental airplane I built. Other than the regulator issue I mentioned it has performed great.

Improvement
Guess they keep getting better. This is the 3rd one of the these batteries I've purchased for same motorcycle. 1st one, due to move, hardly rode motorcycle, battery died and could not recover after 1 year. 2nd one, purchased their fancy battery tender and had it hooked up to it. Lasted little over 2 years. Again my garage was a mess, hardly rode motorcycle. Just purchased this one, noticed it's much bigger. Still fits perfectly, but stats are stronger. Installed it, motorcycle started right up. Garage all organized now, will be going for more rides now, hopefully battery will last lots longer.

Very Disappointed
Let me start off by saying that since I started riding 3 years ago I have been a big fan and supporter of Battery Tender products. I have owned a total of 3 BT Lithium (LiFePO4) batteries, 3 BT battery maintainers, a BT sae to usb adaptor, a sae voltage tester and a few various BT accessories cables. On the April 18th 2022 I purchased a 480 cca BT Lithium (LiFePO4) battery on Amazon and the noted before receiving the battery that there was a coupon for 15% off. I reached out to the distributing agent, BT sales and BT returns/warranty to see if I could get a $30 credit and no one could help me except to tell me contact Amazon and/or just passed me to someone else until I realized I was getting nowhere. I then contacted Amazon for help and they reached out to Battery Tender on my behalf. I figured I should write my review before I ultimately got my answer on the credit and risk further disappointment.I received the battery on April 20th as expected and it was well packed and in good condition physically. I noted that the date code (07M18) on the box and battery indicated that the battery was already almost 4 years old. (I have seen that there are others that reported they received similar aged batteries). Even though these batteries are supposed to have a longer life than their lead acid counterparts, I do not believe that anyone would want to buy a 4 year old $200 motorcycle battery. That certainly was not my intention. My experiences over the past week made me look at the three year warranty and again disappointment set in. Most premium batteries have a full replace guarantee in excess of the basic 1 year ....not these batteries. I guess they don't have great expectations when it comes to their batteries on their dime. You may wonder why I don't just return the battery and be done with it. Well that will set me back another $20 ($10 initially and another $10 to return it) in S&H and I also run the risk some other wessal tactics that Battery Tender might enlist. No, I have totally lost trust after my experience trying to seek an answer from them and after reading some of the other reviews that have reported far worse experiences.Be sure, if I could have done this again I would have found another company to buy from instead of Battery Tender.I will try to update you with my future experiences with these products and Battery Tender Co. You can then make an informed decision. As for me...I'm out.Update: No surprise but BT told me there was nothing they could do for me after the sale as far as a credit. Yup, they do not value me as a customer and I nolonger value them as a company for my motorcycle battery needs.

Absolute must for non-winter riders.
I bought my bike just over a year ago- stock battery went kaput. 3,300 miles and it kicked the bucket. 12 months of use. I went to (big name auto parts store) and they only had ONE battery that would fit; it was an old fashion lead-acid and they wanted what a car battery costs for it, what in the world? 5 minutes of research and I found this....roughly the same price. Better technology, longer lasting, lighter...Long story short, as long as you're not riding in freezing temps (lithium ion batteries don't like the cold) this thing is a huge upgrade that you should make to your bike when you need a new battery.

I have had better
I had a battery tender before. I liked it very well and it lasted a long time. This one seems I have to charge it all the time. I do not get consistent charge. I have had this one go dead on me several times and left me stranded. I think this one is a bad apple. I gave it a 3 star because my 1st one was excellent, but this one deserves a zero rating

Fantastic..
I'm not sure about some comments regarding this battery, but I can say that this battery is the very best battery I've ever had, I live in Fort laudetdale and weather here is not that friendly to batteries, for some reasons I couldn't use my motorcycle for almost seven months, and last week I wanted to ride it ,I thought that the battery is dead and I have to jump it but to my amazement bike start with the very first try , just amazing and wonderful.
