Great build quality, better value.
As a professional residential and commercial systems integrator, tools are very important to me. I was a little hesitant to purchase this as it was a manufacturer I had never heard of, and there were very few online reviews. Upon opening the package I was very surprised to feel the quality of this little unit. The monitor is bright enough to use outdoors, and the ability to power up the camera from the tester is super handy when a headend isn't trimmed out yet. It will also control PTZ functions of cameras so equipped. The buttons have a durable feel, and the unit comes encased in a dense rubber jacket for the inevitable fall from a ladder. The rechargeable battery is nice, and all of the other little extras included are pretty impressive.

If you are working with analog security cameras, one of these test monitors is a lifesaver! The kit is very complete, and the unit seems to be well built. The only problem i had was the input BNC connector is too close to the edge for my large fingers. I solved this with an RCA to BNC adaptor, and added the necessary reversal adaptor to the input cable, problem solved! The LCD is crisp and good color, making it fairly easy to get the camera where it needs to be for use. The ability to output color bars is very useful for testing video signal lines before pulling a questionable camera, as well as color balancing any video monitor. The ability to power a camera is nice, lets you bench test, or walk around with a camera and test locations with particular gear, or just play 'night spy" with an ir camera. :-) Ok, Ok, this is a 'serious' tool, but, there are some areas it may not be a best fit for...ip/network gear....you can test your cables, with the included dongle, but thats about it, unless the camera has an analog port for the video. The unit has lots of protocols for PTZ, but you may or may not have the right protocol for your gear, lots of reading to determine this. "Pelco-C /coaxitron" control of menus is not supported, but an additional 'inline UTC controller" may do the trick nicely for under $20, depending on the functions you need. For the money, this is hard to beat, but do the research to see if its the right test unit for you. Online videos are a huge help in the process.

Worth every penny!
This thing is the bee's knees. I used mine all the time. Meter portion works well enough and the camera portion is great. I've tested just about every feature on it and they all work. Think of it, cat5/6 tester $50, auto ranging multi meter $80-100, portable screen with BNC $100, and PTZ controller $100-$150ish. And it's all in one tool. I used it almost exclusively for 2 years as a 06 electrician and dropped it numerous times. Even dropped heavy boxes on it and stepped on it. Only ended up with a slight crack in the screen. Still worked right up until it was stolen out of my van... So I looked up Evertech and bought a new one without hesitation. The added bag is a nice touch! If you ever use an apprentice to help sight in cameras and you're cursing constantly as you have to run up and down the ladder to correct him, this is the tool for you.

No repair support
This is a decent unit but when it stops working there is NO contact numbers for repair support in any of the documents or manuals supplied with the unit. Good luck getting it repaired.

Good Value for the Price
The meter is well built and easy to navigate the menus. Simple to change the user settings. The internal battery lasts many hours and charges quickly. I added a 12Vdc car power port (cigarette lighter) charger to the kit for charging on the road. One thing to note: Without video input the meter keeps displaying No video after each PTZ command. It would be nice if the manufacturer could change the firmware to eliminate the message display after acknowledging.Additional Note: The "Continuing Rotate" test function only continues the movement to the the end of the selected direction. Continuing rotate does not mean that the rotate will loop.

But anyway this tester is the best with possibilities/price on market now
It's my second tester, I bought from this company. First stopped working after one year, so reliability is very low. But anyway this tester is the best with possibilities/price on market now.
