A firm favourite
My son was born four days before Christmas, and so, when his first birthday / first proper Christmas rolled around, I was naturally looking at cheaper toys to help spread our funds further between the two.If I'm to be perfectly candid, I was not expecting much from this toy. It's just a little house with balls, is it not? However, upon unboxing it to wrap for my son, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality. It is a sturdy piece of kit, with no rough patches to be found in the wood, and the balls are a good size and weight - perfect for little hands. The main appeal of this toy can be summed up from my child's perspective. As he can't yet talk, I'll do my best to speak on his behalf. You see, this toy is apparently A LOT of fun. So much fun, in fact, that none of his other birthday presents got a look in, and, when Christmas rolled around shortly after, those toys were overshadowed too. He loves pushing the balls through the holes over and over, and he gets so excited when they roll back out of the door. It is not an exaggeration to say that this one toy could keep him occupied for hours. As a first-time working mum, this is more than welcome. It allows me a much-needed tea break before the bedtime routine begins, and I'm not one to sneeze at that.I will say that your child can and will push other items through the holes, and that these items will not roll out of the door in the same manner as the balls. Cue frustrated crying when the playmobile man is stuck inside and his chunky ham hands can't quite pull him lengthways back out! Obviously not a serious complaint, but something you'll no doubt experience all the same. Also, if your child is anything like mine, the mallet will be abandoned upon first use. It is clearly much more fun to push them in than to hit them, but I suppose this might change as he grows older.Overall, I would recommend this toy to any child aged one year and above. It's cheap, it's simple, and it's apparently a grand old time.

Great gift!
Brought this for a 1 year old boy as a birthday present. He loved the bright colours and the shape of the balls. It took him a while to understand using the hammer to knock the balls with, but now he understands, can not stop. Only gave it to him a couple of weeks ago so can't comment too much on durability, but looks well made and great value for money.

Bright wooden hammer house
Lovely solid wooden house but it's a bit tight trying to get the balls through the holes but my 16 months old is so determined with the hammer that she eventually gets it, don't think I would like to get on the wrong side of her! lol

Great toy for repetitive learning.
Our 18 month grandson quickly got the hang of this ( although we hid the wooden hammer). He loved it, but decided to start throwing the balls, which are made of wood, so now it's an outside toy!

Doesn't use the hammer
Bought instead of the typical hammer toy, 1 y/o likes to push them through with hands rather than use the hammer but he likes it very much.

Great toy and great price!
My grandsons ages 2 and 1.6 both loved this toy and big sister also played with it. It's amazing how much fun they had and will continue to have. I saw a couple of other reviews that mentioned that the red ball was actually orange, but to me it was reddish orange so it was fine. Didn't detract from the fun they had playing with it.

Stupenda!

L'enfant a adoré.
