This is a professional lav system.
I've had this lav for a few weeks and tested it in the studio and outdoors. It had performed wonderfully. I even tested in on the cliffs near the Salk Institute near the glider port. The wind was blasting away and the talent simply turned his shoulders away from the wind and I was very impressed. I was using my Sony MDR V6 headphones plugged into the camera. The mic produced no wind noise but the wind was whipping my headphones so loudly that I had a hard time differentiating. When we got the footage out of the camera we were both impressed. There was no wind noise. The audio quality was superb especially considering the conditions.Similar results in the studio on quality without the hassle of wind of course ;)I tried a couple of cheaper microphones before purchasing this one and am very pleased. Sure it costs a bit more but it is worth it.I've heard that the ME2 lav has an issue with the cable breaking at the capsule causing people to replace the microphone after a year of arduous use. My solution was simple. As soon as I knew I was keeping this mic I cut a short piece of black electrical tape (just enough to wrap around the end of the capsule/cable just about two times), then I made three cuts in the tape where the cuts would be below the capsule, then when wrapping the cable end I could form the wrap so it did not bulge or be unsightly on camera. The three spaced cuts allowed me to wrap the tape evenly by overlapping it. I think this should be sufficient to prolong the life of the microphone under normal usage.

Replaced a plug in senheiser with the model and it is great
I use this as a lapel mike for my weekly seminars. It is fantastic. The picture shows what appears to be two body packs but one if a transmitter and one is a receiver. The reason the receiver is in a body pack housing is so it can be attached to something like a camera on a tripod (it comes with the fittings for this). A cable is included that plugs into the receiver on one end and into an XLR jack on a mixer with the other end. The cable is about 1 foot long which is perfect if you did use a camera and really convenient for me since I travel and want a small cable. The body pack transmitter comes with a long cable attached to a lapel mike that clips onto a tie or shirt. Sound quality is outstanding. There are a number of settings (such as pilot tone) but the default settings work perfectly for me out of the box. This is studio quality equipment and sound with a small foot print. To make the receiver small they made it battery operated so you need 2 AA batteries for the receiver and 2 AA batteries for the transmitter. I use them for 8-9 hours straight and the batteries still have 20-30% left at the end. The body pack transmitter has a slide mute switch so I can mute the mike without taking it off or turning it off. The belt clip can mount two ways (with the antenna pointing up or down). I prefer to point the antenna down so I have the belt clip set that way. The only buttons on each unit are under the flip up batter door. One is for power/esc and one is for menu/select. The display has black writing on an orange back lit background so it is easy to read. I highly recommend this unit.

Best beginning wireless mic system
Great microphone set, this is probably one of the cheapest wireless systems that actually give OK audio. The microphone included is not very good so I would suggest updating to a better lavaliere mic if you can.In some cities there will be static on every channel if you go past 50 feet. In smaller cities I have never had a problem, but in New York City and London there was intermittent static on every channel.

Works like a charm!
I got the B Band based on Sennheiser's available channels in my local area. You need to go to the Sennheiser website and look at the little link on the page. Then enter your zip code and get the list of available frequencies in your area... then you can choose if the A, B, or G channel is best for your local area. When I got mine, I just put the batteries in (included!) and then turned on the unit. It was already linked and ready to go... no interference and absolutely no problems... I'm in a metropolitan downtown with lots of wireless transmission... I have not yet had any problems with this unit. It's easy to maintain and the build quality is obviously professional. Excellent lav. microphone. I'm very happy with. I wish it was a little cheaper so I could buy a few... but I guess it is what it is... I had a cheaper Sony before and I now know the difference!

DID NOT INCLUDE ALL THE PACKAGED CONTENTS
FIRST OFF i love the mics the quality is great the only thing that i did not like, is that the package did NOT include the 4 AA batteries it said it did, and that the phone jack connector for 6mm audio jack input on the camera.. other than that delivery was great, the packaging wasnt damaged, and the mics are working perfectly..

This mic picked up great sound
The only problem I have had with this device is that the first one that shipped was defective. After trouble shooting everything, I found that the chords it came with were not working. That being said, This product is amazing. Shooting wedding, Corporate video, or live events, this lav mic is reliable in all situations. I do use a zoom h6 to record the audio from the mic. Below is brief pros and cons I have found.Pros-easy to set up-battery power lasts long for events- sound quality is great- this product is best for people starting to record professional audio and not wanting to go into debt.Cons-userface on transmitter is semi complicated to use out of the box, so expect to be playing with it if your new to audio and lavs- I really have not found that many cons after two shoots with this.

Best value wireless mics
I did a fair amount of comparison between the set of Sony or the Azden mics. Too many people had given bad reviews of both of those so I went with these and haven't regretted it since. I've now shot a number of events and weddings with this set and they have always delivered. Excellent range, the lav mic has clear distinct, bassy audio, and superb battery life. I knew these were the real deal when I shot a convention with a friend who rented wireless lavs and had the same exact pair I was using.
