Q: I'm a 59cm but found the medium (60cm) too tight so sized up to the 62cm. Anyone else found this?

No, I haven't. If you look at the Amazon webpage for this hat, you can see that the vast majority of people who have bought this Hikeman fishing hat rate it as true to size. I have various sun hats that vary between 59cm and 60cm so I ordered the 60cm which according to the Hikeman hat size table is a large, not a medium, and it fits my head just fine.

Q: Is it machine washable?

This is cotton polyester, a fishing hat! I believe it can be washed, although I havenot needed to wash mine.

Q: How wide is the brim please?

Very wide & hat rather large. I didn't know it was for men & not ladies.
