Nice DRO great way to update a conventional machine
I bought one of the 3 axis units for an old Bridgeport style die mill and a 2 axis unit for a 9 inch bench lathe. Both units work great and make working much easier. The unit can calculate coordinates for bolt circles, and angular bolt line locations. Pretty handy once you figure out how it works. These may take a little thinking and likely a little simple fabricating to mount the scales and readers, but if you’re looking into these you likely have some skill along that line. The kit provides some aluminum angles for brackets , but due to my choice of location. I used some miscellaneous aluminum scrap plate and angles I had lying around. I tapped direct into a few places on the machine bed and other locations with 1/4-20 etc. to mount them. Maybe a half day of work for each unit. (At retirement pace)

Much simpler to use than your dials and makes easier to be more accurate
I debated for months whether I should put a dro on my lathe or not and now I know I shouldn't have waited! I mounted this unit on my south bend 14 1/2" lathe and couldn't be happier. It took a bit of doing mounting the crosslide scale but patience and a little thought and it's done. Installation instructions are non existent but no big deal there. Buy one and move into the 21st century.

Missing a lot of hardware
Overall, a very nice DRO. Once installed, it works great and is relatively easy to figure out. The two issues I had are:1. It seems the screws and mounting plates were just randomly thrown in. I needed 4 of one type of screw but only received 3. Received 6 of another that I didn't even need. The mounting plates to secure the reader to the Y axis were poorly manufactured and needed to be modified to look correct. They would have worked as is, but I need it to look nice as well.2. The ad states "US Stock, 2-4 Days Delivery". Reality is - Shipped from Hong Kong, 2 week delivery....

Seems like a great product
This was a gift for my brother. I haven't had a chance to use it but he is very happy with it and he is quite picky with machine tools. This went on his grizzly lathe. We did pay around $40 or so in extra shipping to get a slightly longer x axis. My brother said It had some extra math features that other dros don't have, so it is a step above others listed on Amazon and the accuracy seems very good for a relatively low priced dro.

Works great on my Jet 14x42 lathe
Why did I not install a DRO on my lathe many years ago it is awesome. Soon to purchase a three axis for my Jet 9x42 milling machine

Great product. Spend time laying out on machine due to univalve fit.
It’s a universal fit so you have to figure out how to attach this DRO to your machine. Having a DoAll mill, it had its challenges. Once it was set up and alignment checked with a dial invocatory to make it run true, works like a gem. No issues with the rail sticking or making the table harder to move. Really nice features on the DRO such a bolt hole patterns, radius, angles and a calculator button for quick calculations.

Ease of application
It was exactly good for the application, inside a mechanical lathe. Above all, I appreciated the straightforward interaction with the seller.

how to master clear
It's a very good product with a terrible manual. The Y scale factor was trashed and not resettable after a linear cal (probably operator error). It took 6 emails to learn how to do a master clear, which isn't in the manual. So here is how: After startup, long press "8". Scroll up/down arrows until "ALL CLR". ENTER Then enter "2000" for password and ENTER.
