This is my new favorite thing. It's adorable. I bought it on purpose because it only brews 3 cups and it's almost impossible to find a thermal French press that isn't enormous. I don't drink coffee but use it to brew tea, which cools down too much for my taste during the brewing process. Since this is a thermal carafe, when I pour out my tea after the 3-4 minute brewing time, the water is as hot as when I poured it in. THIS IS PARTICULARLY GOOD FOR GREEN TEA WHICH REQUIRES LOWER BREWING TEMPERATURE. If I brew green tea in a glass French press it's luke warm by the time I pour it out, which is unpalatable. With this press, my green or black tea comes out as hot as the water I poured in .This same company offers a larger press in the most gorgeous, glowing copper color (it isn't really copper so it doesn't tarnish) and I've used it daily for over a year and it's still as shiny and perfect as the day I got it. It's very sturdy and I can tell it will last a long time. I wish they would offer this smaller size press in copper. This silver version is lovely too. It's very shiny in person and looks high quality.
