I started using these to store my pasta and sauce after cooking day. I used to use those plastic containers, but the insides would shred after repeated use and I wasn't real sure where those shredded pieces went. Ick!The lids are really nice and pliable. They kind of feel like a rubber material instead of plastic and they hold their shape without warping, like the plastic ones did. And, everything cleans up nicely.BUT WARNING...those glass suckers REALLY get hot when I nuke them for three minutes. I have a nice pair of thick oven mitts that I use for self preservation.The pots do not have any handles, which is why the oven mitts or pot holders are necessary.Even with the mitts on, you still need a plan before you attempt to remove the containers from the nuker. My stove top is directly across from the microwave, so I pop off the lid of the glass pot, while it's still in the oven, then I grab two corners of the pot, turn around and set it on one of the cold burners. Or, if I needed to set the white hot pot on a wood counter, I would be sure to have my one foot square piece of ceramic tile there to protect the wood.Just be careful...will ya! It's a great product and you will love everything about it. (except maybe the lack of handles) But it does what it was intended to do!duff~

The perfect size for casseroles for 2

I bought this because I make a lot of freezer meals in foil trays that I buy in 3-packs at the dollar store and a restaurant supply store. I love the ease of getting dinner on the table on hectic days, but it was really annoying if I forgot to thaw something and so at 5:00 PM I had a frozen dish unable to go in the microwave. This 6 cup Pyrex dish is PERFECT to use to microwave the dish out of the foil tray. I just pop it out frozen and plop it in this Pyrex dish and it is the perfect fit. I then defrost it in my Breville microwave, then put in the Breville convection toaster oven to bake. VERY EASY! If there are any leftovers I just slip the lid on and put it in the fridge for a quick lunch the next day.It makes freezer cooking even more convenient. If I had scads of cash I would buy 15 of these and just put all my freezer meals in them since they are freezer proof, but until then I will be happy to use this method of getting dinner on the table :D

lue (Kitchen)This is a great baking pan! I did not have any of the problems that some people had with these pans.I used regular pillsbury cake mix. I sprayed the pan with baker's joy, hit the filled pan on the counter to ensure all bubbles/pockets were gone and waited just a couple of minutes one the pans where out of the oven to pop them out.Besides a few overfills in the first batch, each one of my cakes came out of the pan easily and perfect shape.For cleaning, I just did it right after the last batch with mo issues at all. Soaked for 5 minutes and everything came out with a wipe.My daughter and her friends loved decorating these cakes with frosting tips. They were the perfect size to decorate...a little bigger than a regular cupcake, but not by too much.I can not wait to use this pan again.

Throw out every container and replace it with just a few of these. Keep the lids with it at all times so you never have to hunt and match again. Using a few quality containers instead of a hopeless mess of various plastic ones is just so nice.I did do some in depth research of how pyrex has changed and what the differences are between the made in USA ones and the foreign made. The upshot is the made in USA ones are stronger, but the newer, foreign made design can withstand temperature change better. At least from what I read, anyway.These are not made in USA, but I don't care. The differences are probably going to be negligible for almost everyone.

This is the perfect container for storing and reheating leftovers. I always reach for this one over my round containers when storing leftovers because the more area you have on the bottom, the better your reheating is going to be, that goes for microwave or oven reheating. This fits perfectly in the Hot Logic mini oven and I have found that to be the best way to reheat leftovers. The Hot Logic will not harm the lid so don't worry about that.I think the price is really low for what you get, it will last as long as you don't drop it on concrete or something. Just don't ruin the lid by overheating your food in the microwave. Keep the lid in the top rack of the dishwasher or wash it by hand.

Glass storage containers are great because they don’t absorb odors, and they clean very easily. And the cover fits tight.But there is a caveat: Do NOT put these glass containers in the freezer- it will explode and crack, leaving behind a lot of glass shards behind. That is what happened to mine. They are fine to use in the fridge.

We left our previous one at someone's place. Not sure who. Very useful size so we just ordered another.

UPDATE: Mother got a severe cut on her finger from chip on rim of glass. Have used pyrex dishes for 20 years, never a problem. Had to throw one in the garbage.But serves the purpose. Holds food well in the freezer

Tout le monde devrait avoir ce plat de cuisson de grandeur moyenne. Facile pour faire de la cuisson et refroidir et ensuite ranger le tout avec le couvercle au frigo. Enlever le couvercle, et réchauffer le mets au four ou au micro ondes. Tellement génial!

With all the cooking we're doing during the pandemic we needed more containers to use for freezing meals. These Pyrex dishes are great - no problem freezing them and they easily re-heat in the over or microwave. The 6 cup size is perfect for our family of two.
