TL;DR: This is a great connector. Some uses may require you to switch the wires, but it's still infinitely better than trying to build this yourself. Do yourself a favor, and buy this.More: The wire is well crimped, but insulation is not. I think the thick silicon insulation is simply too big to crimp. This shouldn't be an issue, though, as the 14 awg wire itself is likely strong enough for just about any application. Speaking of the wire, it appears to be above-average quality. The silicon-insulated wire is much easier to use bend than plastic coated wire, and it can tolerate much higher temperatures, which is a great attribute when soldering.As for the application, in my case, I purchased this to make an adapter for my Xiegu G90 amateur radio. For that particular use, I needed to disassemble the connector and switch the polarity and genders around.If you're purchasing this for an RC car, it should be fine the way it comes. If you're purchasing for an airsoft toy, you might need to switch the polarity, I'm not sure. That's just the way it is, different applications use the connector in different ways. Regardless, mini Tamiya connectors are a royal pain to make yourself, and this product is quite nice, so do yourself a favor and buy it.

These are reversed and can't be used for the Xiegu G-90

Used to replace the battery adapter on a Xiegu X108g radio. In this instance the positive and negative were reversed from the post/neg on my battery. Easy fix with soldering on the bullet connectors because everything only plugs in one way.

The connectors are exactly what I need. However, the package only included 2 pairs, not 3 as advertised. I only need one pair so I didn’t bother returning them

I bought these to replace the cable on my radio. The polarity was reversed and the wires came loose before i could hook it up. The crimp on the connector is poor. I do not recommend this product. I returned them in less than 3 hours.
