Amazing book!!!
Sam Lubell has done it again. This book is a great resource for anyone who loves MCM arcitecture. For me personally It’s better than his west coast volume, but that’s because I live on the east coast so I have more time to visit the amazing works that he leads the reader to. I appreciate Mr. Lubell great, also Darren Bradley’s photography is a nice addition.

Nice Guidebook
I had planned a trip up the Coast with stops at some of the cities and buildings described in this book. The pandemic intervened, at least for now. I am familiar with some of the Florida architecture. Most of the buildings are not open to the public, so creating a map for oneself is a road trip, not tourist stops for the most part. I could not find a publication year for this book, so it's unclear if all the buildings would still be around to see.I disagree that some of these buildings are first-rate examples of mid-century modern. I allow that we all have our own tastes.

Informative, Fun Read for the MCM-Obsessed
This is a detailed look at many (but certainly not all) of the East Coast's iconic Mid-Century Modern commercial and residential properties. As one who is completely obsessed with this period of architecture, it is an informative and fun read (particularly living in DC, which is rich with constipated people and a subsequent lack of daring architecture). The images are great, and of good quality. There is a tad too much editorializing and, may I suggest, condescension by the author in his review of several buildings. Alas, that's part of this book's charm, and I'm looking forward to his presentation at Modernism Week in Palm Springs in February.

A must for every architecture stalker’s glovebox!
Truly outstanding - I only wish there were more buildings listed. A great wide range of MCM and some more recent Modernist style buildings are listed including addresses and history write-ups.

Great resource!
Another great title to join its West Coast companion. Helping me plan our next trip to NYC.

I wnna go now
Library book. No purchase. Good little book listing many, many midcentury buildings one can, maybe, see or visit along the eastern seaboard. Not just homes, but also many public buildings. Well done. Good information. Nice little overviews as to what makes said buildings of interest. Also tells if they are open to public, have gift shops, cafes, etc. Nice to know. Not sure I shall ever get the chance to see majority of them, but the info was good nonetheless. Glad author took time to compile list.
