Kellam never disappoints, unless you like the way the handle comes, it's best to fine sand the handle and tung oil it, the sheath sucks, but all leather factory sheaths do, in my opinion, as far as batoning with a knife goes, don't do it to any hidden tang knife and if you have to, do it with a full tang knife, with a hidden tang your handle will eventually split or the blade will break at the ricasso/tang area, maybe not the 1st time doing it, but it happens, full tang knives even with micarta scales and pinned loosen up and will wiggle around, just don't do it, buy a froe, learn to safely use a hatchet, spare your knives, I make my own sheaths for carrying and use the factory sheath to store them

I just got one of these beautiful knives for Christmas and I have to agree with the first review. Excellent craftsmanship! The darn thing is scary sharp and incredibly light. Well worth the money.
