Used these on a cruise, worked GREAT
This purchase was a must have for the cruise we just went on! We used them in lieu of cell phones within our large group of friends. We charged them at night when we slept and they were good for the whole day and never died. They all came with wrist straps which was convenient, it also had a clip (like a pager clip). Volume could be more than loud enough, the headphones would have been useful if we wanted to keep using them in a quiet area (but that never happened lol). Even when we docked in Grand Cayman and went a few miles down to 7 Mile Beach, I was still able to talk to someone who was on the ship. Here's a pic of my friend on the beach with me - directly above her in the horizon, below the yellow umbrella, you can see a cruise ship in the distance. Just for a visual!Had to hold down the talk button for a good second before I began to speak otherwise the beginning of what I said would be cut off if I pressed and began speaking simultaneously. That's probably the only drawback I can think of. But I haven't used any other walkies, so I'm not sure if that's how they all work.Very happy with this purchase!

Totally Worth It!
These little radios are awesome!! And for a really great price. The frequencies that come with it, are not legal frequencies, and can find yourself with a $10,000 fine plus possible imprisonment if found using illegal frequencies in the US.As a licensed GMRS radio operator, I had a friend programmed these to FRS frequencies. Thankfully, these radios are considered legal when using FRS/GMRS frequencies, as the FCC has now allowed FRS frequencies to transmit up to 2W power (which previously you could only transmit at 0.5W power on FRS) - license free! And now, you can transmit on the GMRS frequencies up to 10W (previously 5W) - license required. You can technically program these radios to nearly any two-way radio frequency, even use them on Business frequencies- license required and a Tech Coordinator to program them.

Great Radios, but Don't buy them for the cable or earpieces
The radios are really really good! All of them worked perfectly... Long range, clarity, you name it!Couple of cons:The programming cable simply doesn't work (after a Lot of trying on different computers i've finally decided to check the cable itself And found out it was deffective a common thing to clone cables, they are all hit or miss)The other con is that 4 out of the 10 earpieces didn't work -no sound or garbled sound due to poor quality soldering on the speaker part. For the price still the radios were unbeatable, i'm willing to let go these small faults and buy again... I'll just not be a conciencious consumer if i didn't point out these little details.

Best FRS/GMRS value I have seen!
These radios are the best bang for the buck when it comes to basic communication! I am really impressed by the audio quality, range, and clear communication that these radios have compared to the more expensive FRS/GMRS radios we have used before. Again, for the low price, these radios are the best value I have seen. Programming was relatively easy for me, but I have previous experience programming other radios. It do take some scouring the web to find the right solution to get my Windows 10 computer to correctly recognize the programming cable with the correct driver, but once that was figured out, I programmed ten radios in a few minutes.

Great Quality
My husband is vice president of our daughter's high school marching band boosters. They had twenty radios for the boosters to use, but it was determined that they needed more to replace some that had gone missing or failed. Each radio has it's own charger. It comes with a programming cable so you can set up the frequency to use. They can all use the same frequency or as in the case of the boosters, we have different frequencies for different needs. It comes with software so you can program them, but my husband found a different program that worked better in his opinion. The radios work well, as expected.

Great for ski vacation
Went on a ski vacation with a large group. Wanted to keep everyone in the loop without having to rely on cellphones. These are really cheap. They charge fast, and last for a while. The hand strap and clipon came to good use. Only one of our group used the extended speaker/talker. For this price tag the quality is good, and it served its purpose.

Recommended by a colleague for a work application
Recommended by a colleague for a work application. they are cheap, ,clips come off easily, and they break at the drop of a hat. Use them from the house to the garage and they are probably fine but not in a work setting where they will get repeated use. From the minute they came out of the package they picked up everything in the area, again in a remote setting they might be fine but if you're in an urban or suburban area be prepared to fight for the airways,

1 dud out of ten.
I have using the radios for our church security and teachers. Up until now I have been please with the orders. I ordered the 10 pack two of them. I have not opened the second box and in the 1st box of ten one of the radio did not work at all. I do not know who to call or that is it. I was told people have a hard time getting in contact for information on what to do next in case their is a problem with any of the radios. Mostly for the price they are good and if one turns out to be a dud well that is the way it goes.
