Bought these as an alternative to the more expensive, higher filtration that I was replacing every 30 days. I consulted an HVAC specialist and he concurred that as long as I continued to replace every 30 days, there was not sense wasting my money. With the other ones, my furnace would short cycle and have to be turned off and turned back on a couple of time per month. The HVAC guy said this was likely caused by the restricted air flow when the furnace had to run longer to get the house up to temperature. So far, I have not had to cycle power but I'm only into my second month and heating season just started.

It is difficult to measure the quality of a filter, but as far as I can tell, it is doing what it is designed to do. It isn`t a good test, since I don`t have animals and I live alone. I use two filters, one at the air handler and one in the door to the air handler.

Simple, right size. Consumers have no good way to test if these are any good. I gave it a 4 instead of five because they are a bit flimsy and the first batch was destroyed in transit.

restricted air flow in furnace. might just be my furnace, but I dont think so.

These are some four sided things that fit into your ac unit's intake. They fit. They capture stuff. Enough said.

that is all that matters to me, my central heating guy said yes they are good for this system , so that is all that matters.

Good product. Works well at capturing dust which is the reason I bought these.
