Great ass product. I have it running through a 1000 watt amp powering two twelves. It hits hard!

pick up a lot of noise.
Installation is easy. upon contact with amplifier speaker, all the engine noise is heard when accelerating. this did not happen when the amplifier was connected directly to the radio. my expectation of buying this was to improve the sound quality, rather than worse. Now I have to buy a noise suppressor to avoid having to throw it away the graphic equalizer.

If you know how to work it , then a 400.00 complete 4 spker, 1- 8' earthquake and 2 -6.5 subs with 1 pioneer amp and E.Q......
FIRST Without an EQ then you will probably never bring your system to its best. Think how it sounds on a 2000.00 Bose or Bang and Olufson for 4,000.00 , all have multiple EQ's and crossovers besides the tricks their speakers do. system at home. In a vehicle without intense sound knowledge you could not possibly learn to use just cross-overs and make sound best it could be. Then front and back and after which way did they sound best (speakers) wired? An Eq can do this from 1 spot and easy to install. I do not know how I made it without for so long. the Boss has all RCA's and if you have to, you can use high. Volume is still controlled by head unit These did make the highs sound high and lows not subtle but with snap and how it should be. has separate control for subs. also has a 9dB gain. For 25.00 this is best investment even before amp to have a sound to make anyone with a 2000.00 noise maker look bad. DO not THINK_GET IT!!!!!!!!!!!

vehicle only. not that great. easy to install
picks up alot of engine noise. it's not hard to install your car radio(aftermarket) has rca out. run that into the rca input on this eq. then run rca out to the amps . wow . not hard. the subwoofer adjustments controls the bass for everything. i had one before and it was awesome. but that brand doesn't exist anymore. looks just like this one. so i bought it. don't waste your money on this. on my last one you had bass control for just the subs. then another bass control for the rest. this one here. has 2 bass controls. but they our for everything! not good. so now it's for decoration. all my audio comes directly from my radio. then just used for the pretty lights. money down the tubes! i bought it when it was on sale. and it took me about 8 months to get everything. i installed it. it work great for about 2 weeks. lost the receipt. alot of interference. i know its this eq. because i by pass it. left everything hook up to radio. no problem. try to find something better!

Wrong item
You should have specified in the review that this equalizer was for a vehicle. I needed one for my home stereo. Therefore, I returned it.

All works great with my old tires ears
I am using this device as an equalized for my TV's headphone output that I use with a Bluetooth Transmitter. AS it was made for a car I had to modify the power source. Installed a 12vdc Jack in the slot where the wires exited the case. All unused wires are placed within the case, makes a clean final product. All works great with my old tires ears. Regards Don

Great for the $ and does the Job
I run my audio from my flat screen TV Outputs to my 8 YO Sharp entertainment system (Aux In), which only has 'modes' of bass/treble control (Jazz, Rock, Classic, Vocal, Flat, etc.) and does not give more fine-tuned options. I do have some freq response control in my TV, but often just watch it w/o running on my ent. system (saving power, as used mainly for movies, sport events, etc.), and when I adjust my TV for desired sound, my ent. system always comes across as 'too bassy!." I bought this device (made for auto 12v systems), installed a connector on its side compatible for typical AC/DC adaptors, and used one of my old 12v regulated adaptors laying around to make it an Equalizer for Home Ent. System. Only uses 4 wts, leave on all the time, and enjoy being able to boost highs/turn down the lows, and also watch the freq response bar graphs on it as it sits right below my TV set..

The EQ sounds pretty decent, and is easy to install. There are a couple problems with it though: -It is very sensitive to voltage change, it cuts out whenever the voltage shifts, even when the voltage is still above 12V. -The band adjustments are to coarse. -The green power LED is really bright. I had to add an extra voltage regulation circuit to get the thing to stop cutting out. The price on this is alright.
