Tons of light!
I just got these today and thought I'd try them out since I have 3 vintage Dazor drafting lights to see if they're worth the price. I grabbed the 6000k version for my large unheated shop since the fluorescents were failing hard in this cold weather. I work on some very intricate stuff using magnifiers, and using a 3 bulb Dazor was key for me. Now, with the 3 LEDs my workbench is flush with light and no more flickering in cold weather and instant on with the two button mag ballast. Does it really save energy over the fluorescents? Tough call, the ballast is running @ 105 F according to my Fluke IR thermometer in my 48F shop, but I didn't check it prior with the fluorescents. Heat is energy consumed! I'll update in the future if there is a energy delta.

Works right out the box! (But no padding of the bulb for shipping!)
Bulb installed right away and is blazing bright! Yay. Only downside was the shipping. Absolutely no wrapping of the bulb in any safety materials to stop it bashing around in the big box during shipping (e.g. bubble wrap, shredded paper, styrofoam peanuts - nothing). The bulb itself does have an anti-scratch film adhered to it that you peel off when it arrives (like a cellphone screen). Hopefully the bulb should never need replaced again in my lifetime (I aint old, either, but LED is supposed to go for tens of thousands of hours). I also find it odd that I was asked to rate "longevity" which I cannot do since I just got it. Perhaps I will come back and fill that in if it ever stops working. One odd thing. For an LED bulb this thing pumps out a lot of heat. From a foot away you can stick out your hand and feel heat radiating out. This is the only LED light I own that pumps out heat like this. I would definitely.never leave this on without supervision. I think it may be a fire hazard.

Worked like a charm!
I was delighted that this bulb does not require me to have to rewire the light fixture, change the ballast, or change anything at all. You simply put the LED bulb in place and it works! Just like that. This is a great solution, and it’s also great for the environment because then we don’t have thousands of people throwing away their light fixtures, unnecessarily, and clogging-up landfills.

Dazor drafting lamp? This is the LED tube you want.
I have five Dazor drafting/desk lamps in my business. Four of the lamps date to the 1950s and 60s and one was made in the 1980s. They all operate just fine with this LED tube without making any modifications to the Dazors. Just plug and play. With fluorescent tubes in a Dazor, you have to hold the start button down for a few seconds to fire the fluorescent, but with these LED tubes, briefly press the start button to instantly light the lamp. The Dazors will run properly with either one or two tubes installed -- you don't need to use two if you don't need extra-bright task lighting. Or you can use one LED and one fluorescent if that makes sense to you. My husband uses one tube for general lighting at his office desk and likes that very well. I use two in the Dazors at my work station where I need bright task lighting for the hand work I do.I got the Daylight type because it seems the most natural to my eyes. Initially, these LED lights are very bright -- almost blindingly bright. I expect them to become somewhat less intense as time goes on, similar to my experience with other LED bulbs. That said, I expect the LED tubes to stay brighter overall than fluorescent tubes. These lamps are all plastic so there's no glass to break, but the ends are about as fragile as the ends on fluorescent tubes. Don't install these tubes when you're feeling impatient or rushed because it can be kind of a fiddly task. Ensure all four pins are properly inside the sockets before trying to rotate the tube to lock it in place. If you try to rotate the tube when the pins are out of place, you'll crack the end. That didn't happen to me, but I could see how it could if someone got impatient and tried to force the issue.

Failed in 3 months
It’s gets 2 stars for the clear bright light but unlike every other LED light on the planet, this one just failed. Big bummer. I will try another one on the off chance the unit I got was faulty.

Drop-in replacement for antique Dazor drafting light!
I should have done this sooner. The drafting light was my grandfather's, my father's, and now mine so there's a good bit of sentimental value in keeping this drafting light working. As time is not without a component of irony, working from home has required that I use my work room as my office and with that came the unexpected failure of the two fluorescent bulbs in my light fixture. Not wanting to try and find local replacements, especially in the current status of COVID, I looked online. I had mulled the idea of ordering some rather inexpensive fluorescent bulbs via Amazon, but the idea of having a pair of delicate glass tubes being shipped through the mail brought up the idea of opening a box of razor sharp confetti.Fortunately I came across this listing which advertised that they were "no mod" lights and were complete drop ins, I decided to order them. While shipping took its sweet time getting here, I suffered under the overhead lighting and hoped I had made the right decision. Today, the lights came and while I was initially concerned at two bulbs loosely packed in the box, I reminded myself that these were LED and weren't at all fragile like the glass predecessors. I installed them in my drafting light and instantaneously the room was lit up.I am very impressed with these lights! Only slightly harder to install than conventional bulbs (make sure the dark side is pointed to the reflector), but once they're in, they're in. They put off crazy amounts of light and I am very impressed! The listing is correct, no modifications required for my antique Dazor light, the push buttons on the fixture work as expected (except you don't need to hold down the red button to start the bulbs. Instant on, bright, and even light across the entire tube. If I encounter any more fixtures like this or need to replace any fluorescent bulbs in the future, I'll definitely be looking for these again.
