Bought this in used condition, but it literally looks brand new! It looks more like an activity book than a textbook because there's a lot of fill ins and crossword puzzles. A lot of people were complaining about the "small" font in the textbook but I think its average font and easily readable. Looking forward to using it in my upcoming semester.

I really like how this book is set up and the CD that comes with it is so helpful.Only con would be that in every chapter it teaches you more words than the list that it gives you in the beginning of the unit. I wish it was just all listed in one place.

Book came coated in some kind of oil that had gotten all over the pages. Am returning and just ordering a new copy for my class

This book is required for one of my course studies. Although there is very good information in this book, the layout of this book is not well organized. I am not sure why any author would ever use very small print (on the crossword puzzles), as not everyone has a magnifying, nor would want to use one to complete a class task! Interesting way to learn medical terminology, however I think there are better ways to learn how the body functions, symptom-ology, and dis-ease reference.This book makes my brain hurt!

If you have time for it, this gives great detail in the backgrounds of words, meanings, evolution of words, etc. A good reference, but to get the most of it one needs to take the time to use it as a full informative course, then apply the data.

I got this book very quickly, only to notice when I got it it came from the same town I live in, and was bought at the school I currently attend. Small world! Very satisfied.
