Fellowes Powershred 225i 100% Jam Proof 20-Sheet Strip-Cut Shredder (3322001)

This is a great shredder with the capacity for shredding that our business needs. The only problem is that it came with a broken wheel caster. It should have been reported to Amazon and sent back. Unfortunately, we needed the shredder now, and we did not have the time to return it for a new one. We leveled it against the wall and it works fine!

Very nice compact and powerful shredder. It is actually 10 times quieter than our previous shredder that finally broke down after being overloaded.

Review after 1 week:This shredder is much nicer than the store brand we had prior. The "blades" are more akin to an industrial type shredder where they are thick metal wheels rather than flimsy thin blades.The shredder is very quiet which is nice as it resides in a shared office area and the old shredder disrupted phone calls, thought process and conversations when running.Having a 16 gallon waste basket, although it is made of cardboard, is very nice aswell. Means less times it has to be cleaned out which equals less mess.The shredder was sold by Amazon and shipped by Amazon. It was packaged very robustly for an almost 80lbs machine. Amazon offered a price that was not matchable by any other vendor.It shipped with a roll of 10? bags which are optional to use.Be sure to remove the shipping bolts before use!We will be using Canola oil on a piece of paper to oil ours per an investigation into the Fellowes brand lubricant's MSDS sheet.I plan on updating this review as the years go on. Great progressional grade shredder

i love this shredder! so powerful and fast and does not jam! With my old shredder, it would take me an hour to shred a stack of papers, with this bad boy, it took me about 7 minutes :)

The Fellowes C-220i is VERY quiet and powerful. This shredder makes very little noise and accepts a large pile of paper at one feed.Security is medium due to the shred type of creating full length (11" standard paper) thin ribbons. Determined criminals will likely use the internet for serious data theft these days, but a high security confetti or cross cut shredder would be a better choice for users intent on making paper data theft nearly impossible.This shredder is an economical method of quickly and quietly making a large volume of paper documents difficult to recreate.All of us at the office enjoy the easy to reach insertion point and quick, quiet shredding.GREAT VALUE!

We decided it was time for our little office to have a shredder. So our office manager bought this one. Overkill & too expensive I thought. I was wrong -- it is great! Will handle about 20 pages at a time, paperclips & staples? -- no problem, CDs?-just stick 'em in the slot, jams? - it will momentarily if you exceed the page limit, but EZ-PZ to break free, a 10 second issue. Is it perfect? Well the only problem we have with it is that it's too much fun to use and I don't get enough turns. So there is that....

After what I thought was extensive research I bought and received my Fellowes Powershred 225i. Bigger and heavier than I thought but I can live with that. Get this was a reasonably expensive unit you can imagine how shocked I was to find out that the paper shred removable bin it comes with is cardboard not plastic like every model in the market. The corner of the cardboard bin was already showing signs of splitting when I examined it. Absolutely worthless and if this is a sign of their customer consideration I am very worried. The unit had a 5 year warrantee while this box might last 5 weeks. This is taking cutting corners to a new level. This alone should give the product a negative star because it's not worth buying a shredder that dosent come with a shred bid that is equal to the possible quality of the shredder. Very surprised and very disappointed. As an aside note that the strip shredders output takes up much more room than the shredders that cut sheets up into little pieces.
