The Perfect backpack. I spent months researching and comparing bags like Timbuk2, Nomatic, Solgaard, Peak Design and settled on this backpack and could not be happier, after almost a year of weekly use I love it more. The organization is perfect, the size is perfect. It can take a beating. It's quality material. I can carry two computers/ipad, cords case, two phones, wallet keys, book, light pullover. The water bottle pocket is a little small, but it fits the tall 32oz Smart Water perfect. It also fits a Lars Nysom Steel 32oz bottle perfect too, which I bought just for this bag. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

This backpack has turned out to be a good value. Well-designed and well made, and holds enough for everyday use (as a briefcase) and for travel in addition to a carry-on bag. One of the features I wanted were zip-away shoulder straps, but this has only "tuck-away" straps, which I modified using some Velcro and contact cement to secure them in their pockets. Zippers work well.

First of, I am a huge Tomtoc fan. Their products are top notch and very durable and high quality. I bought the 30L bag and it is absolutely great. Has a ton of room and individual pockets for all the little things. I often travel and work from different locations so I have to travel with two laptops (a 15.6" and a 14" Lenovo) I also carry all the necessary connectors and plugs. They all fit in Tomtoc 17.3" bag quite comfortably. It has enough space to also fit in any additional items that you wish to carry on the plane, whether it's an extra set of clothes or miscellaneous travel items. The back padding makes it extremely comfortable to carry and the shoulder straps are also very well padded and comfortable. The attached lanyard for keys or anything else you don't want to lose is a great touch. Overall, would highly recommend this bag. I did have an issue w/ my 18L bag and Tomtoc replaced it right away. SUPERB customer service makes this a great investment.

I recently got a new laptop and so I wanted a quality back to protect it while having enough pockets to organize and fit all my chargers & gadgets I need whether it be a day in a café or a night at work. Its slim profile gives a clean look that doesn't bulge awkwardly when filled up. It keeps it neat rectangular shape through the day. The many handles and shoulder straps ensure that your bag is accessible to retrieve at any angle. The shoulder straps themselves are shaped and padded comfortably on my shoulders and the padding in the back are so awesome and breathable. The dedicated laptop pocket is velvet-like and padded very well. I also appreciate the pockets for the shoulder straps whenever the bag isn't in use. I've bought this company's crossbody pill bag and just like that, this bag is perfect if you got a little bit more to carry around for work or a short commute around the town. I highly recommend this quality bag if you really care about protecting your electronics and daily essentials.

I have been searching for a "nicer" backpack for work - one that looks good enough for meetings but holds enough stuff for my day. I work on a college campus and have to do a lot of walking in all weather conditions, so materials matter. I have to carry my laptop everywhere, so tech protection also matters. Pros: Lots of pockets! I carry a nametag, business cards, ID card, keys, pens, folders, earbuds, and some personal items (hand sanitizer, hand lotion, etc). I also carry my laptop and sometimes a tablet. Other commuter/work backpacks I looked at didn't have enough organization to keep all that neat and I don't want to buy a separate pouch. This pack has a place for everything. The tech compartment is well padded and suspended, so my gear doesn't sit on the ground. It looks nice enough for meetings. The side carry handle gives it a briefcase look, which is great for more professional settings. And, you can semi-hide the backpack straps. When you carry it like a backpack, the strap loops keep the backpack adjustment straps from flopping around. This is amazing for a shorter person like me. You can also carry it by the grab-handles on the top. Cons One top handle would look better in backpack mode. There is no way to hide the top grab handles, and they stick up. The material (though very nice) seems to attract dog hair. It comes off easily, but I have a white dog. This could be a consideration if you have pets. The top zip pocket could be more of a clamshell opening. It's a little hard to get your stuff and I have small hands. The bottom pocket seems bigger and this is less of an issue, but still could benefit from the clamshell approach. There is only one external bottle pocket. I really like having two. The issue is with the side handle. Putting a pocket there would mean the handle wouldn't be usable, but that could be a choice for the consumer instead of going without the pocket. I would love a middle-sized option. I got 18L. I wish it was bigger, but not 30L. I think the updated version with x-pac material might be 20L and that little bit extra would help for holding a rain jacket or sweater/sweatshirt. It would really help for travel purposes. I'm not a one-bag traveler, so I don't need 30L. But, I do like to carry a sweatshirt and some extras if I travel. It would be hard to fit much more than light sweatshirt in the main compartment, I think. Overall--I got this at a great price during a sale week, and I will likely keep it. It's great for work and that is mainly why I bought it.

I have been hunting/searching online for months and months on YouTube, reading and listening to countless reviews on the vast amount of bags available to buy for laptops, tech gear and general backpacks for work and travel. I’ve bought cheap bags, midrange bags and even high end bags costing over a couple of hundred all sent back as they are not right for my purpose. The search stops here with TomToc. I love this bag, the more I use it, the more I appreciate it and enjoy using it. One thing in common with these tech/laptop backpacks is the laptop compartment is situated right against your back, why? As your back is not very straight, so much so, some bags are contoured to fit against the curve of your back. One bag I bought and tried out felt all wrong, as if you stretched your back, the laptop would literally snap. Anyway, this bag is so comfortable to wear, even on long trips, it’s a pleasure to wear, evenly distributed weight (some bags you feel the weight on your shoulders, or the weight sits on the bottom of your back) this bag feels good to carry no matter the weight inside, the straps are well padded and soft. Compartments galore, there are so many compartments that I am able to store a lot more than I expected to without it bulging and looking like I have things crammed in. The level of detail and thought gone into manufacturing this is spot on. Someone has thought of everything. Keyholder (which is a lifesaver for a bag of this size, it means you can get to your keys instantly) pen holder, a decent size bottle holder (which I have a 1 litre bottle, the struggle to find a bag that will accommodate this was hard, this fits no problem) All in all it’s the perfect tech/laptop bag and would recommend for that purpose. I would not recommend though for travel as it you cannot fit large amount of clothes in, I would say you can fit your laptop, tech accessories and maybe a light jacket/hoodie or jumper and that’s it. If you need something that will accommodate laptop and clothes, maybe look elsewhere. I am away right now on a short trip, this bag has my tech and I have another hold-all for clothes. As I know there are big backpacks out there for laptops and holds clothing, this is not for that. The other thing I love about this bag, it’s slimline, you can fit a lot in and retains the thin profile. Other bags start to look like a home on your back like a ninja turtle (shell on your back). Some of the other bags I have purchased, the quality has been awful, straps falling off (unstitched), interior ripping etc. The quality of this bag is superior and seem to be of a higher quality than a lot of others at a higher price. A highly recommended bag.

Very good material and build quality. But not sure if this is the latest model or something else because there is no pockets for straps as shown in multiple YouTube videos.
