Roffler Mountain Sage Shampoo, 10.1 Fluid Ounce

My husband was a barber and used Roffler products in his shop. When he used this on me, my hair was shiny and easy to style and it has a nice soft scent to it. I don't use anything else.

I have used Mountain Sage for decades. I still like that it does still seem to control dandruf. I believe it's one of the initial marketing claims. I've found that true over time--and still do. (I was told years ago by a barber who said she and others bathed children with rashes using this shampoo.) The shampoo still leaves my hair in good condition with daily use. It still lathers well, always a strong point.What seems different: the pleasant, minty fragrance is gone. The shampoo now has an unpleasant, harsh chemical fragrance not unlike a cheap, overpowering deodorant. That's especially true when opening a new bottle. That change is disappointing and causes me concern about a possible poor decision in an ingredient change. I can only hope there's nothing harmful here.The shampoo is very thick, so thick that I do not buy large sizes and try to funnel it into smaller bottles. That's just too tedious. For a time, some of us, including other reviewers, noted the formula seemed thinner. At that point, the color seemed to change to more of an aqua color, which caused some to think the producer or a seller had mixed the shampoo with another shampoo. Regardless, the shampoo is thick now, whether with new fragrance or whether close (or not) to the original formula. For now, I am using the product and pleased with the results.

If you suffer from itchy scalp, look no further.

I know I over wash my hair twice a day, I sweat a lot and try to hit the gym at least 7 times a week.Have away had bad dandruff my barber (Joey's Barbershop, Concord, NC) suggest the blue 4 years ago have not had a problem sense than.Just decided to try the sage like the smell as results.

It makes my scalp clean and it smells good. it works better than any of the other dry scalp shampoo ice used

The greatest shampoo I’ve ever used. Looking forward online for some time finally found it on Amazon. Will re-order when needed.

This used to be a great smelling shampoo that would make your scalp kind of tingle. Was a refreshing smell like pine trees. Now Its too thick and smells like bubblegum. Bring back the original formula.
