NOT AS PICTURED
Awesome color but picture shows a round tin, which is the best. This came in a tube, which is VERY wasteful. The tube has to be put on a plate to get it even on the brush, but leaves waste on the plate. The tin is better for the price.

more of a yellowy spring green than mint, but still a great find
I love these waxes and I am trying to collect many of the colors. While all are beautiful, the names of the colors are not very descriptive (I find that the background color on the lid is often more accurate). They so show up with a bolder color on a darker background. The mint sparkle is more like a cheerful, lustrous spring green, with a lot of yellow in it. There are only highlights in a mint shade. I had hoped to approximate verdigris or patina. This is not it, but I like it anyway and will find many uses for it. [Another example is the "Mystic Turquiose", which came out more like a lapis blue with purple irridescence as it dried; you cannot always even tell by the color in the tin.] As for drying out: I find that this one, as well as the Antique Brilliance colors, seem more oily than Rub-n-Buff or Creative Expressions' Metallic Gilding Wax, and will stay workable and soft longer. I keep them closed and in ziplock bags. Most other types of gilding wax dry out much faster. Rub-n-buff dries out too, and the plastic caps tend to break (athletic tape and tin foil). Another reviewer suggested a type of thinner to reconstitute them, and although I cannot recall it, I have had success in the past (water works for some, like the very hard gilding wax).

This is not a pot of wax
This came as a tube

sent a tube instead of the jar shown
not as shown, a tube (which is harder to work with because you can't put any back in if you accidently get to much out). they show a jar and send a tube.
