Kapro - 985-41X Apollo Heavy-Duty Professional Box Level - Features Magnified Vials and Dual-View Plumb Site - VPA Tested - 36 Inch

Arrived in one piece and true - which is a fairly major concern for shipping an 8 foot level!Seems nice and accurate, better than the walls I was leveling and plumbing with it anyway.Nice and straight, milled straight edge. Multi-view plumb bubble on one end, redundant plumb bubble on the other. Large main leveling bubble. Looks pretty tough with shock bumper ends and good cross-section, but also lacks any easy way to recalibrate it. For me the main feature was its large size and reasonable price/performance ratio. There are definitely better levels out there, but I infrequently need an 8-footer so this filled my need nicely.

I own a 4' Kapro level and now one of these. I absolutely love them. They are well built and durable, very accurate, easy to read and use, and have some great features like the magnets and dual view window so you can read the bubble THROUGH the level. Very clever. I couldn't be happier with Kapro levels and would recommend them to anyone.

Have to admit, I was worried about ordering an 8' level and have it shipped. Would it be damaged? Would it maintain it's accuracy" Well, when I received it, first thing I noticed was the end of the box was torn off and the end cap missing. Upon removing it from the box, I noticed how solid this level was and easily readable the vials were. This thing is really nice quality. Next thing I did was to check it for true level. Compared this level to a digital level I have which you calibrate first, so it's spot on. The Kapro level was exactly level and straight attesting to it's durability given the test it got from being shipped. I used it on a paver project and it proved to be much more accurate than trying to use a 2x4 piece of wood. I contacted Kapro customer service about the missing end cap and much to my delight, they shipped me a replacement end cap which I received just 2 days later and it fit perfectly. Customer Service rep I worked with even followed up to make sure I got it and it worked. Now that's rare in today's world! So, I give this a perfect score for it's durability, easy-to-read vials, accuracy, and great customer service.

Built tough & much easier to use on vertical surfaces than my old level. It has an innovative viewing glass that lets you check plumb without looking from the side. Very slick;-).I’m hoping it holds up as well as my 40 year old Stanley carpenter’s level. A little pricey, but what do I know. I haven’t bought one for 40+ years!

Someone absconded with my old level so I was on the search to find a new one. I came across this one on Amazon and it looked good with good reviews. I'm glad they had the 36" version because the other one I had sometimes wasn't just long enough. Really great and sturdy product.

I was hesitant ordering this as I was not sure how well a 6' level would survive shipping. Sure glad I did. It came excellantly packaged with heavy hard cardboard on top of a mild but sturdy packaging all inside an amazon box.Now, how good could a $57 level be? It is Great. Solid and accurate. It has noticices for impact resistance, have not tested that part out yet but may unexpectantly do so some day.I would order another.

Bought this for my decking project and it assures all the beams and joists are level. The price just can't be beat. Stickers abound, but can be removed with some alcohol.

For its price this level is a great piece, well made and durable, not to mention light. Although it’s not of any particular big name brand that I’ve often seen it’s quality seems to be on par with those more often seen and expensive levels out there

This is a full featured well made level and it is well worth the money. However, if you choose to buy this level be prepared to spend a significant amount of time removing the sticker residue with goo gone. This is the reason I can't rate it a 5 because of the unnecessary stickers that were covering the level in three separate places.

Great level, favourite level in my collection of tools. Super accurate, durable, good weight. Great construction and my favourite vile to read. Love my kapro level. And is available in 36” which is a difficult size to find, and is a very desirable in between size for cabinetry.
