Works great
I have this hooked up to a small tv and antenna in the kitchen. It gets about 30 channels in my old location but only 9 in my current location. I think a better antenna would get me more. It really depends on what’s available in your location. If you’re in the boonies or a mountainous region you’ll get very little. Also you need to move the antenna around to find the best spot for reception and that may not be the same spot for every channel. It works fine for me since I only watch 3 or 4 channels.

Inexpensive Digital Tuner - Short-lived power supply (UPDATED: Oct. 30, 2025)
I ordered this to replace another digital tuner, to use with a hi-def tv which quit receiving remote-control input (I replaced the remote control, it still did not work, so it is something bad in the tv remote receiver itself). I had to replace the prior digital tuner because it quit working after about 9 months. When I bought this one, I specifically wanted a tuner with the ac->dc transformer at the plug-in to the wall, not internal to the digital tuner itself because usually it is the power transformer that goes bad. Good thing I did, because sure enough this unit quit working. So I ordered a Belker brand transformer on Amazon, connected it to the tuner and plugged it in, and voila the tuner works again. So in a nutshell, the tuner itself: 3 stars for the interface (simple enough for scanning & changing channels etc), 3 stars for remote control (small-ish unit, small buttons), 5 stars for the tuner sensitivity itself (seems to do a good job of pulling in and maintaining the stations), 1 star for the Naxa power transformer (only 8 months? really?). I am hoping of course the new Belker transformer I purchased lasts longer than 8 months... UPDATES 30 OCT 2025: (1) Belker power supply still working fine, no issues. (2) After a few months I ordered an external drive and a powered USB hub to hook up to the unit to be able to record over the air tv. That works fine, although the menu system for setting, replaying and then deleting recordings is rather clunky. (3) I have another tv whose tuner isn't so good, so I bought another one of these NAXA tuner boxes in October 2024 and hooked it up, as it has a better tuner. That second one the power supply that came with it is still working fine, although I did go ahead and order a Belker power supply unit as I figured based on my experience at some point I would need it. (4) I should have mentioned this before - but the user guide (instruction manual) with these has quite small print. I'd recommend if you do purchase one of these, go online and download the pdf version of the user guide - MUCH easier to read.

Faulty machines
I have ordered several over time, and they were broken a majority of the time. Had to replace, re order, and ultimately this last time it did not work altogether. Had to call a tech and they could not fix it or turn it on. Please advise where to return for a full credit since I will have to look for another brand for my tv. Awaiting your prompt reply.

Very Good & Simple to Use Digital TV Converter
Easy to set up and provide high fidelity Digital to Analog conversion of TV broadcast signals to my old but still functioning TV and VCR equipment. I always say “If it ain’t broke ... don’t replace it with new fangled stuff”!

Expect low volume despite its efficiency.
Low volume even at the max level but good unit otherwise.

I bought one of these and it connected up very nicely. I then plugged my De-scrambling Update (on a USB Flash Drive) into the USB Port, and went to Settings. I found the Update Feature, and it instantly found the file on the USB, and set about descrambling every channel. When I turned the converter off, it would not start again. Then I bought another one... same thing.

You get what you pay for. Bought 3 and had to return one within a couple of weeks. However, the rest are now working fine.
