Great chopper for thin slicing
This is a $15 knife and it's a lot of knife for that money. Great chopper for thin slicing. easy to sharpen, the rectangular grip feels great in the hand( I have a medium to large hand). The shape of the blade is easy to sharpen and it holds an edge for quite a while. I try to sharpen my knives once a month, but I often forget and never had a problem with this knife. Yeah, I've toyed with the idea of getting a quality Japanese blade, but with this knife I don't have to sweat sharpening the blade, I don't have to baby it. I just use it, and I love it.*Get this smooth edge version of the blade, not the Everlast or whatever it's called, which is serrated. This one can be sharpened easily, the other can not.

A great knife!
This is a well-constructed knife, with the tang all the way through the handle. It is comfortable to grip, is nice and heavy and well-balanced. Splendid for chopping vegetables. I am delighted with it!

Does a good job
I have owne Henckels knives before made with German steel. This one was made in Thailand and it just says it is stainless steel so I assume it is not the same quality as others I have. But a very good price so if it lasts me a few years I will be happy.

Best knife ever!
Love this knife. It’s my go to and I use it just about every day. Sharp right out of the package and I’m very finicky about my knives being sharp. This is actually a replacement for the one I left at my son’s house. He and his girlfriend fell in love with it so I gave it to them and bought a new one. Best knife I’ve ever owned.

Skip this and go straight to a Zwilling
While it's a full tang, this is still an international. It lacks some of the final touches a proper knife requires, such as a dull spine. You will cut yourself on the spine of this knife. Also, the metal is cheap, so make sure you dry it thoroughly after hand washing, otherwise you will start missing pieces of your cutting edge. For the price, not terrible. For just a little more, you can get a proper Zwilling version though. Don't waste your time if you're serious about your novice kitchenwork.

Disappointed long-time Henckels fan
Ya know... I'm a little disappointed in this knife. I have a Henckels International Fine Edge Pro Block set that I got in about 2004. It's the one that's like $120-150 or something like that. It's not crazy high quality or world class cutlery but it's good. Well made, solid knives that I have loved working with over the past ten years. And this knife is supposed to be an extension of that set. Same brand, series, everything. The most notable difference is the blade material. I'm not sure exactly what grade of steel either one is or anything, but the steel in this blade is noticeable more coarse than the others. Even when sharpened to a razor, which I did as soon as I took it out of the package, it still feels kind of rough. Not sure how to explain it, exactly. Maybe it's that the steel is slightly porous? I realize it's a very cheap knife, but I have other cheap knives with noticeably better steel. The handle is a softer, more coarse plastic whereas the old ones are made of something more like a resin product that was very polished and clean out of the box. This one is a little rough and uneven where it was shaped and sanded down at the factory. The two halves don't even line up at the top, it's asymmetrical. Anyway, in conclusion, I'd say this knife is probably worth 15 bucks, but it's not the value I've come to expect from Henckels. I'm gonna use it a while and give it a fair shot, but I will go up to the next series by them the next time I buy a Henckels knife and that will be their last opportunity to impress me. Hate to see a company I love let their quality control slip this much.

Authentic Henkel chopping knife
An excellent chopping knife, worthy of the Henkel name. Great price and just as thick as the one's at an overpriced store. I used it on vacation at my mom's. I bought it for her and she loves it.

Though knife is O.K the offer mentioned that vegetable will not stick while cutting in view hollow spaces in the knife and it is not true.Actually vegetable stick to the knife. Hence advise your supplier not to make false promises.
