The Scotts outdoor power tool leaf blower has a powerful turbofan technology with variable speed control that allows maximum airspeed up to 110 - 200 MPH and airflow of 310 - 410 CFM. This Scotts corded electric blower is more powerful than a gas blower, and it does not require gas or oil to function. The electric engine starts every time that it is plugged in. This yard blower is ideal for removing yard waste on all hard surfaces. The Scotts leaves blower is durable and reliable with a 3-year manufacturer warranty.

Mediocre blower / mulcher
If there is any moisture in the leaves, it will endlessly clog. I found that only leaves dry enough to crumble into pieces if I squeezed them with my hand would mulch without much clogging. The channel from the blade to the bag has a lot of plastic parts that meet in the space leaving slightly miss-matched edges that make clogging more likely. That area should be smooth channel. To clear a clog, you need to back out a very long bolt. I assume it is so long as it also interrupts power so the unit cannot be turned on with the clean-out chute open. Kind of cumbersome access to something that needs a lot of clearing. I found that when the ejection area had a build up of debris, the function would trip and turn to a blower without needing to flick the orange toggle handle. If a little more engineering went into the mulching blade and the channel to the bag, this could be a nifty corded unit. If you happen to pull up a tiny twig with the leaves, be prepared to break the whole unit down to locate and remove it. Usually, it will block the blower blade but can also lodge in the suction tube and create a blockage there.

Heavier with less suction than our old shredder: updated 7/21
We took the leaf vac out for a second time today. I used it for the first time last weekend (full review below). The first time my husband went to empty the bag the zipper broke, actually, it not only broke but the (very lightweight) bag tore where the zipper was attached. The bag is made of some sort of woven plastic. The bag on our old vac is canvas. As repairs go, replacing the bag is a very small thing, BUT we have had it one week! This is only the second time it has been used. If I have to replace a bag it would be better to get one for our old leaf vac (which is a Ryobi). It was/ is a good deal more powerful, and also smaller and lighter. I purchased this because they are no longer making bags which fit our old leaf vac, but if I can not find one I can probably make or repair thje old, or buy one of their new bags and swap out the attachment.I feel badly about having Amazon pick up somethinmg so big and heavy, and ship it from Hawaii over a broken bag, but, again, this was after 1 week, vs. 10+ years on the Ryobi. I discussed it with my husband, and considered just replacing the bag, but then he opened the clean out to show me that the impeller, everything really, is plastic. (I did express concern about that last week, before I knew it was low grade plastic in and out). I ended my review by saying that I didn't know if the motor etc would hold out longer than the bag. It did, but the bag only lasted 1 week.original review appears below.-------------------I spent the better part of the day using the Scott leaf vacuum yesterday. We have had a challenging summer, and have a lot of trees dropping leaves early. Our old leaf vacuum developed a hole in the bag which rendered it unusable (which is just crazy) and, apparently since that model is no longer made it can not be replaced. I bought this to replace it because blowing the leaves into a corner or onto the lawn was not a very good solution. What I like best about the Scott vacuum is that it has wheels on the end of the nozzle, which means you do not have to carry it. You can push it, much like a vacuum cleaner. The only trouble is that the angle is less than ideal. The suction is not great. It is not as powerful as our old leaf vacuum, and is also larger and heavier. While it will vacuum leaves when wheeled, it does so slowly. It works much better tipped further, so that the nozzle is pointed almost straight down, while using the wheels provides a 15-20 degree angle to the ground. It did well with dry leaves, but the ones which were damp or which had been on the ground for a while took longer, more than one pass (unless pointed straight down). It also clogged a few times while I was working, but took just a minute to unclog by flipping the switch to blower for a few seconds. That also helped by drying the remaining leaves, a bit, but only a little bit. I live on the windward side of Oahu and we have more rain, higher humidity than almost anyplace on earth, so this should work better for most than it did for me. It does not do well with heavier damp leaves..It does shred very well, finely, in fact more so than our old leaf vacuum. I filled a 50 gallon green waste bin with what would have filled 2 or 3 unshredded. Since the city gives us half what we need, and we have pickup every 2 weeks, we are always behind, have to maximize what we have. The fine shred does help. I added a couple of bags to our (rolling) composter. The fine shred means it ought to compost faster, and can be used as mulch as well.I have only owned one other leaf vac. and can not remember the make/ model (but should find it and update, or comparisons are useless). I can say that the Scott is larger and heavier and that the suction is not as powerful. Since it is electric and not a LI portable that is surprising. I expected it to be at least as powerful as our old shredder, but it isn't.The wheels do make it easier to move from place to place and can be used for some of the vacuuming, but to do a thorough job you will likely need to carry it some. It works better at a steeper angle than that provided when it is resting on the wheels. It is not particularly well made. All the parts are plastic. When I needed to switch to blower and back to unclog, the handle was easy to move, but felt somewhat fragile, like it is not going to last for long. Our old leaf vac gave up the ghost because of a hole in the bag. I can see this falling apart/ failing for other reasons. It is one of the least well constructed pieces of equipment which we have and is a disappointment coming from Scott, a division of John Deere. We have a riding mower of theirs we have had for near 20 years which is now idle in our garage for want of a small part which is no longer made :( That is a very expensive piece of equipment to replace. This is not. However, I do not expect it to last 20 years, or anything close. It is just not as well made.

Not what I hoped
I am older and trying to pick this up is hard to do; the wheels help when used for blowing but pick-up (deck debris) was useless. I do think when fall comes it will pick up leaves but I will have to wait and see. The bag is a bit of a nuisance as it rests against your hip and turning is awkward. It probably would work with someone taller but I am only 5' 2" so not easy for me. Thank you.

Solid machine--makes it a bit heavy
I like this blower/vac/mulcher. So far, it has done everything I have asked of it, and it handles in a practical way. Considering all the functions, I'm not so surprised at its weight, but I do make note of the effort it takes to use it for long periods. Lifting it up and pulling it across low hedges to vacuum out the leaves is what I'm talking about, but that said, it draws them out very well. If anything, I feel that this machine is over-engineered, which I much prefer to under-engineering. Glad I got this, I think it will last me a long time. BTW, its mulching ability is amazing; I couldn't believe how small the bits of mulch were.

Waste of money.
Waste of an investment. I am disappointed Scott’s would put their name on it. It barely has any power and you will waste a lot of time trying to mulch the leaves with this. The blower works well but suction is practically nonexistent. Don’t waste your money on this product. The competitor brands are 12 amp and this was 14 amp but has no power to mulch and the bag frequently falls off.

Good for dry leaves. Bag design and quality are poor
Blower and suction power are sufficient. It picked up dry leaves well. Magnolia leaves will clog if you go to fast. It will also get some of the slightly damp leaves. They will cause clogs much faster. It will occasionally suck up a gum ball or two. It is bulky but the wheels help maneuverability. The bag opens with a zipper. If you run damp leaves through it, it will affect zipper operation. I used a wax based spray lubricant on the zipper which helped

A great gift for Dad
I got this for my Dad for Christmas. He didnt het to yse it until the spring time but when he finally used it he loved it. Its light weight. The neck extends, its very easy to use. He mostly uses it as a leaf blower. Dad loved this gift and it is a great addition to his tool shed.

Well it works.
I bought this to replace my Toro blower/shredder thinking it would be a good replacement. I'm not wow'ed by it. On my old Toro, I liked the power it had compared to this one. Also I hear there is an upgraded Toro that has a metal impeller. I would think that would be a better deal for this kind of thing. I'll update on this one in a few months after I've used it a few more times.
