This bulb is superior to other competing bulbs with the same spiral shape and wattage. The color is whiter, no yellow tinge; the aqua band around the base has air vents in it so the ballast won't heat as badly as the others and should last longer; the bulb goes to full strength immediately when turning it on, no waiting as in other bulbs; the light is brighter than competing bulbs same wattage; the price for the 10-pack was great. They arrived very well packed with no breakage; I will update this if any changes. Update: currently using four of them, and one broke already, but the current four are solid. I hope they last a good long time because I can't work without them.

We ordered this pack of lamps after a kit with soft box etc. had a broken lamp in the package. Amazon agreed to pay part of the cost of this pack in order to replace the broken lamp. However when we received the pack, 2 were broken. They were replaced within a few days, however the fact remains that these lamps seem to be very fragile and buyers should carefully check the lamps upon receipt. The lamps works as expected when working correctly and output seems to be as per the specification.
