Long-lasting and moves the air
This is my second unit; the original ran for over 10,000 hours. It it easy to install, relatively quiet and provides the ventilation I need. I wired it to a timer to run at night to cool my Phoenix-hot garage and it performs that task well. The only question: why is the fan blade not an aerodynamic shape like the fan blades in a conventional fan? It seems like a better shape would move more air.

Great for my shop.
The fan is excellent and does a great job of circulating air in my shop. The area is 15 X 20 feet, 10 foot walls and a 12.5 foot apex to the roof. I installed it at the rear gable and when on and the doors are just open a crack the breeze is quite pleasant. It is not all that loud, considering mine is an uninsulated metal building. It has a pull chain for low/med/high but I leave it on high and wired it into a switch. Which, by the way, this does not have a cord. Just the wires hanging out a few inches. It must be wired in, not just a plug on a cord.I would say it requires two people to install as it is heavy and awkward. Louvers are of good quality, not the cheezy ones that bend at the touch of a feather.

Exhaust fan, trouble with them holding up
We just installed our third CE 14DS Direct drive Exhaust fan since 2019. They are not holding up. If this one goes bad I am going to ask for a free replacement. I was able to hang on to this ones warranty papers. I lost the lst two papers.

Lasted well for 4 years. Thought it would last longer.
This fan worked well to keep my Texas garage tolerable in the summer for 4 years. I installed the 14" version, but wish I had gone bigger for more air flow. Or maybe a whole house fan installed in the ceiling venting to the attic would be better.Three speeds are nice to have, but the higher speed is pretty loud. The vanes do get clogged up with dust. Need to do some krudcutter spray maintaining so they open up properly. The fan died after 4 years of use. The blades barely move and push them along doesn't help. Probably had 10,000 hours or so of use. At least TPI sells a replacement motor so I don't have to purchase an entirely new unit.

Quiet and Powerful
Awesome Fan. Installed in a 16x24x12 workshop. Wired with optional thermostat, the fan kicks on at about 80 degrees and does a great job of vacating the hot air and saving on air conditioning. I run the fan on medium and it still creates a vacuum that pulls my door shut!

So far so good
8.16 19.. First off. Its not hooked up yet I'll get to that this weekend however the ease of installation is what I'm reviewing right now. So I made the 2x4 frame first (14 1/8 inch for interior measurements so fan fits in) and I used the spiked brackets from Home Depot (like 40 cents each) bc I had them ying around. Made the frame and squared it off. (Remember it's 14 1/8" for the square of the fan). Using the frame I marked the plywood inside attic and put 1 hole in each corner with 5/8 in spade bit. Using jig saw to cut the lines out. Plywood removed. Put 2x4 bracket in and screwed from outside in (using convenient 14 " hole I just cut in siding). Bracket secured put in fan and screwed it in place using 4 screws(I used decking screws not the supplies ones) that was it. I put the 1x4 on the outside for looks and to keep water off the metal. I'll paint and silicone this weekend. I'll wire it when the thermostat is installed. I'll keep u posted on completed install and how well it works and adjust the rating accordingly. My garage is 24z30 ft by 10 ft walls and 3 ft attic.
