Ace Classic Pocket Fine Tooth Hair Comb (Pack of 6)

Looked far and wide for a classic Ace pocket comb. They seemed to have disappeared. Found it … and ordered ten.

They are what I was looking for and couldn't get in drug stores now, and the price was great, delivery great.

Good quality, right size for a pocket comb

You might think that rating something like combs is a wasted effort. I have found differently. I have tried many other brands of combs and none of them compare to Ace. Ace combs are just better in every way.

I have been using this basic style of Ace for over 40 years. The only problem with this particular version is that it is narrower than the standard I have used for all those years. Length and material are the same, but it is about 1/4" narrower than what I am used to. But, that is my only gripe! ;-]

Have been using Ace fine tooth combs for the past 50 years or more. Ace claims they are unbreakable, but in reality they typically only last 6 to 12 months before teeth start breaking or completely snap in half when sat on in my back pocket. They are very hard to find in brick & mortar stores so I have to turn to Amazon.Amazon sent the wrong product as you can see from the photo, not worth my time to send them back, so will pass them on to my daughter and/or grand daughters. As a bonus, the clips sell for $10 each and I only paid $12 for all six so it was a good bargain. Makes up for some of the other products that don't meet expectations and I don't bother to send back.

I've been using ACE combs for over 70 years... yes over 70. (I'm old) They are the absolute best comb I have ever used. I would recommend them to everyone.

For the life of me, I cannot understand why ACE, the maker, discontinued this particular pocket comb. I have purchased this fine-tooth model comb since I was 16 (now 83) and it has been my usual luck to lose or break one at least every three years. This model has not been available in stores for more than two years. I am very happy that I took the chance of looking for it on Amazon at the time I did and found that the warehouse surplus inventory of this discontinued product was in stock. I bought two packets of the comb and will give the extras to friends if they happen to let me know they have lost or broken theirs. The store buyer in my local drug store could only tell me this particular pocket comb was no longer available although the one with half-fine-and-half-course teeth is still on the market and available in my local store. I wonder if the truth is that governmental regulations have made it impossible for the ACE company to go on making this hard rubber product.
